The party went
almost all night. Wallace and Junior brought
their families up. The home guys had finished the new
cabin, and
Sonia and Emilio were all moved in and hosted the last
hours of the
celebration.
Puter reported
no troubles when our guys checked in over in
their cabin, except that the pilot had been questioned
in Cincinnati -
by "Cincy" - but could just give the name of the bogus
corporation,
the agent in D.C. tracing that to the fictitious names
and addresses
during those very moments. Cincy was comming to him that
he
would definitely snare them, at least Jessica, at her
graduation,
having word that she had confirmed with the university
that she
would definitely be giving the valedictorian.
Well, the
feathers of the big bed felt soooo good to the three
after their shower. Essy felt a little lonely, though,
back in her room,
sleeping alone again. She dreampt of sex. Our three missed
her too,
but their sex inspired Stefi and Ev again, and vice versa,
all of them
happy as kids with happy meals. They did not need to
stoke the
fires, so they had their orgasms, got to sleep and stayed
there.
"...The Navajo,
the Hopi, the Ute, Pueblo, Sioux, Cheyenne,
Apache, Aztec, Comanche, Zuni, Pawnee, Arapaho, Blackfeet,
Crow, Inuit, Eskimo...." Lion Eagle was telling them
all the Nations
they had flown over on their trip. Jess was having a
"dream". They
were sitting on top of Mount Essy Jessy in the dark,
naked, and
listening. In the dream. LE and Swan told them that they
had kept
them out of bad weather while they had flown, except
for that time
getting back into Washington because they had decided
wrong.
They should have gone into Vancouver, their Native friends
chuckled. Then Swan told them that they would make a
new
discovery that day, and LE said the spirits - their fellow
spirits -
were pleased with all the money the guys had given.
Jess woke,
saw that she was in the bed and the guys were
too, woke them both up and excitedly told them her dream,
sure
enough that time that it was a dream. Kit and Flece were
still dead
tired and with overhang, as was Jess, but got just as
excited. He
was plenty relieved, in fact, that their guides were
still with them
and that that was why they were wakened, and checked
in with
Pute after absorbing Jess's telling, learning that there
was no bad
news.
They good
morninged Stef and Evan in a few, dressed and
went out to help feed all the livestock - seeming to
be more
plentiful than when they had left on their trip - then
went over to
Ria's and Jul's, Jessy telling all them about her dream
of a new
discovery that day.
"Ay carumba!"
Julian led the responses, the others helping
him tell how much they had dug and blasted on when the
Gold
had run out, but had found nothing. With breakfast on
the veranda,
though, our guys were more noticing that all the snow
had melted
and the wildflowers and everything else were deep in
bloom all
around them, and the girls marveled at how beautiful
it was. Kit
saw that the guys had even planted the Quinoa in the
field below,
and gave Jul and the others plenty of praise. Then he
stepped off
the veranda, went around the field near the cabin and
picked wild
daisies and other flowers and brought them back for Jess
and all
the ladies. It was another glorious day high up at their
hacienda,
another not-cloudy-all-day sky beaming down upon them.
They all went
up to the mine after coffee and more talk,
walking through the almost 40 feet of Silver at the end,
the mine
starting to curve a little in an arc, to the round "room"
that had
been blown and picked out in their search for more Gold,
stulls
everywhere bearing the Silver. Our four had picking honors,
of
course, and were plenty enthused as they swung away,
going
almost four different directions, though everyone was
watching
Jessy's.
They worked
over an hour before breaking, talking about
all kinds of stuff, a lot about Alaska, Essy doing most
of the
relating about that and what she saw all over the West,
not
giving the girls much chance to say anything about the
boy
friends, they were playing. Then Jess looked around at
all the
Silver on the floor and noticed something a little different
in her
pile. She looked around her area and saw something up
high in
the side wall where she had taken some whacks just for
kicks,
just to see how deep the Silver might be,
she had told the
others, while she had been thinking about Swan's and
the
Chief's words.
The others
didn't notice until she said, "hey...." She took
some more swings and more Silver chunks fell out, revealing
more of the new stuff and the others stared at it, mouths
agape,
with her.
"Ho...my...GAWD!"
Kit said as he inspected a piece of
the new metal that had come out with the Silver. "This
looks
like PLATINUM!"
There were
screams and yells, whoops and cries, then
Julian yelled, "A LA VAY...we get it cleared
so she can do it
AGAIN! JESSSEEEEE!..." and hugged her, "...and she even
predicts it now! HO CHEE MAMA!..."
Maria was
mumbling religious words and making the sign
of the cross. And Julian grabbed her, picked her up and
twirled
her around, cheering, "El Dorado, Ria...El Dorado!..."
"You've done
it AGAIN, Jessy!" Es added, jumping up
and down with Sonia, Emilio and Julio. They all hugged,
slapped
fives and shoulders and kissed, cheering away and jumping
together, and their excitement climaxed when Kit told
them that
Platinum was worth more than Gold. After some minutes,
they
picked away some more at that part of the wall and saw
it
becoming a vein, growing larger as they picked.
"Hold on,
hold on!" Kit yelled, "we need some more braces
in here...."
"That's all
right, 'migo," Jul excitedly answered, "we'll blow
it out some first...wait 'til you guys see this!
Boys, bring me
quatro sticks and the drill and the wire!"
Jess, Kit
and Flee were catching glances at each other,
knowing they were each thinking about Jessy's dream and
how
the new find was going to help the funds even more, wondering
how it could be so good, among other things.
Well, they watched
Julian and Julio drill deep holes for the dynamite, place
the sticks
in there after wiring up the caps and unrolling the wire
outside to
the box 30 or so yards to one side of the entrance, the
boys pulling
down heavy blankets at the entrance as they came out,
everyone
bringing out the picks, shovels, lanterns and all.
Jessy was
voted blow-up girl of the day. She pushed down
the plunger at Jul's "OK" and they heard the muffled
boom and the
rock noise as they felt the ground vibrate beneath them,
and
passed a puro around as they waited for the dust
to settle, barely
containing all their excitement.
Back inside,
they climbed over the rubble, got to the blow
out, and there it was. A vein of Platinum
over three feet wide!
They danced around together, screaming and yelling.
"Lord, just
imagine..." Ri said, "it's like God himself has paid
us a visit!"
Some of them
started clearing the rubble and picking the
Platinum out of the Silver, others got more stulls in
and went back
to picking at their new fortune, following the vein,
which was going
in a new direction. And their reverence and awe grew
in all of their
hearts for what they had been given. They mined that
entire day
and into the night until they were exhausted, then brought
up the
beer and smoked the official puro, plus
a few more, as they sat
and talked away in the big room, just reveling in it.
They continued
all the talk during a midnight dinner on the
veranda, and watched the lightning from the storm out
to the East.
And one huge stretch of a group of bolts lit up a section
of clouds
that looked like a man and a woman on a horse! It gave
our three
chills in their spines, goosebumps and tears. And it
reminded Kit of
the next chore.
He and Jess
strolled over to their cabin to check the weather
on Pute, hoping for enough cloud cover to bring Juliet
Pop back
up, and Pute was predicting just that. "Cybomeister"
also informed
them that the pickup was safe at the restaurant - no
checks on it,
no mention of it by the agents, not even a report to
or by local or
state police. And it was not a trap either, as far as
their puter pard
could tell.
So, by 1AM
they had their weather, and Julian had given Kit
the two new night vision goggles that he had bought through
his
amigo.
"Aw YES, Hulian!"
Kit hugged his partner once more for
that, offered him the money, but Jul just laughed.
Julio drove
our three WPO'ers down to the restaurant, and
Kit and Jess drove on to the airport in the pickup. Flee
headed
back to the ranch in the wagon with Juli and unexpectedly,
yeah,
those two got very affectionate on the way. They had
a set of
gogs if they needed them, but the cloud cover was there,
so Juli
could drive cheek to cheek and other closenesses with
Fleester
riding tightly right next to him.
Julian was
setting the lantern out by the barn and our
heroine and hero were flying to Espanola in those same
moments.
They landed there, turned off the Mooney's lights and
gogged
themselves on up to the Truchas on the deck under the
clouds in
the rain, Jessy flying. Kit just barely guided her on
the controls as
she landed them in the mud, and they sloshed on in and
got their
ship put away in the barn as Flee and Juli sloshed on
in, their own
selves, to the yard from the trail. They all partied
down like
racehorses after what, the ninth at Churchill Downs or
something.
Well, calmed
down was more like it. They could barely
think of sleep after that day, but the guys showered
down and
relaxed a little on the feathers after goodnights to
everyone in the
other cabin. Before getting under the sheets, though,
Kit and the
girls went out to the living room, naked, of course,
to give Stef
and Ev another $1oo,ooo check and thank you for all they
had
done and asked them if they wanted to stay and told them
they
wanted to build another cabin for them and mentioned
their share
of the mine - if they wanted to stay.
Evan, then
Stef, naked themselves, told them how happy
they were there, plus overwhelmed by the money and the
offers
and being so wanted, and answered, sure, things
had been
unbelievably amazing so far, they would love to
stay. Then Jess
invited them to sleep in the feathers with them.
"The bed's
big enough," she smiled kind of modestly, "but
if you guys don't want to, we'd sure understand."
Their friends
smilingly shrugged their shoulders in unison,
looked at each other and smiled, turned back to our three
and
together said, "why not". Well, that must have been one
pretty
nice little orgy. Pretty dang darn.
In the morning
- and imagine waking up in that pile of flesh
- they did the deeds all over again, naturally. Then,
when Ev and
Stef were in the shower, the three checked in with Putey.
He had
no surveil detected on anything; in fact, the suits had
not even
noticed the Mooney missing from Santa. The agents were
banking
on graduation, Kit surmised and Pute agreed. (Or was
it the other
way around?)
The guys made
their phone calls: Kentucky, Florida, Alaska
and Cincinnati. And Ed called to thank Kit again for
making him a
millionaire. He wanted to get Kit something. Kitto told
him "nah",
but asked him again just to keep everything quiet, plus
another
question on computer engineering that Code had about
Pute 2.
Eddo said he sure would and had the answer.
They good
morninged Sundance and went through the
concert lineup with him just for kicks. Everyone of the
greats of
music and comedy were on board. Everyone. And
the fund was
approaching $2oo million, almost ten percent of that
from the guys
themselves. The concert was going to be the greatest
EVER. Elvis
might not be able to make it, nor Jimmy, Janis, Jim,
John, Stevie
Ray, Rick Nelson nor the others, but everyone ELSE was
packing
in for the big weekend and hopefully after. The performer's
village
was growing fast there in the Valley; "it's what it's
all been FOR,"
the growing battle cry.
Sunman informed
them that the government was starting to
try to stop the concert. But the Navajo were standing
strong on
their sovereignty, and were getting backing from all
the other
Native Nations, plus from the performers' people power.
The Feds
had filed suit, but all the best lawyers, including BR,
were
volunteering their services to the Original People. "Fund
THIS" had
become one of the newer sayings about the fund's work
v. the US
of A's.
Folks were
filling the computer nets with messages to the
concert organizers, just wanting to help and or contribute
more
money. Some governments had leaked the news of the WPG.
And
that news was traveling as fast as the speed of light.
The world was
starting to look for the WPG and many assumed it had
something
to do with the concert and fund. Sunny was feeling, well,
rather
sunny about things as he and our WPO'ers worked together
on the
councilmembers and the judge - whom they should be. Sophia
Loren, Kate Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Brando were a
few of the
others that they wanted to find spots for. Arnold, they
hoped,
would accept Commander-In-Chief of the Force, with Sly,
Bruce,
Kurt, Hogan, Sorbo and others to help. Planet Hollywood
was
going to war.
They said
adios to RR and went across the yard to breakfast
down. After calories and thoughts, Kit, the girls and
Juli went to
the barn to clean the mud off Juliet-Papa, tape up all
the orifices
and cover all the plexiglass as the others went up to
the mine.
Julian came back down then to help Kit make the metal
pieces and
drill the holes in the cowling, and they and the girls
worked most of
the day on it, Julio going on up to the mine.
They made
the infra-red deflection baffles for the cowl top
and sides and attached them with small bolts and nuts,
the baffles
concaved to produce a venturi cooling effect. Then they
got the
mufflers on - Kit had bought them months before, over
the phone,
and Jul and Juli had picked them up in Santa - two in
series on
each exhaust pipe, and bolted on the support braces.
They started
her up to check and she was quiet. Way. She
would be down in power, up in weight and drag, and off-balance
to the nose some, but Kit had calculated it all up to
be OK. Then
they sprayed her all flat black, with camouflage patterns
in deep
red, black-taped the antennae and other light-reflective
things, and
Kit had a spray to reduce reflections off the windscreen
and
windows. Then he did an oil change and checked the tire
inflation,
letting a little air out of them, and she was ready.
Julian said,
"well, 'migo...whatever you're doing...you know
we're with ya...one hell of a low rider, though,
you got here bro....
whoo..."
"Thanks, Hul..."
Kit left it at, along with their bro shake in
front of their hearts. "Yeah...all she needs is the hydraulics
on the
gear, huh?" And they both grinned.
It was just
before sundown. They went up to the mine, the
long tunnel of Silver just cosmical.
"This is cosmical,"
Jess said as they walked into the big
Silver room, everyone working in the new Platinum tunnel.
"Working on
your valedictorian?" Kit wiled.
"No, mister
smarty genes, I said you're comical," she
returned.
"This is one
heck of a legend, guys," Flee added, still deeply
in the wonder of it all. Emilio and Ev were putting in
another
support stull, Stef and Sonia were boxing the Plat, and
Juli was
drilling holes for more dynamite, Es assisting. And they
all hugged.
Then they counted up the boxes and calculated it all
to be worth
over $12 million. Dollars.
"If it turns
out to be pure enough," Kit apprised. Well, they
were already dancing and whooping.
"Not bad for
HALF a crew," Es sassed her old men and girl
friends.
"Yeahup..."
Jess came back, "you guys need me to find
anything else?"
They all razzed
her.
They got the
charge planted, and Stef had blow-up girl
honors. Maria brought beers up, by then becoming very
intuitive
on blast and break times, and they blasted, then drank
and smoked
while they waited on the dust before working again into
the night.
Smoking and
drinking again with a late dinner on the veranda,
they talked on as they got stoned. An accident headed
for disaster,
they were saying at a point, was, of course, what the
FAA would
have been saying about the chemistry connected to the
aviating,
and the government would have sent them all to prison
for life,
being, of course, so all wise in their law. But Kit was
saying,
"impeccable trust is the most valuable commodity in life."
Besides,
they had "white out" for their eyes if they ever needed
it, Jess
joked. The farking law made them outlaws. The same law
source
that spends the trillion a year on weapons and armies.
Go figure,
huh?
The guys were
still telling stories about Alaska and their trip
and the flying, Essy impressing everyone with her new
knowledge.
Then they got out the instruments and played until they
had to get
some sleep.
