The Kingdom of Northern Ice is vast, and holds many within its bounds. The following Changeling venues have listed their venue information and background with us, for ease of access. In addition, a four colour system has been added to indicate how up-to-date the information is, with green being most up to date (within one month), yellow, red, and finally black indicating the least certain information.

British Columbia
The Duchy of Climbing Sky is currently under threat not only from the encroaching Kingdom of Storms, but from a mysterious enemy known only as the Dark, which plagues its coast. The summer home of the Queen's consort and chancellor, Duke Rococo, was recently destroyed by a band of strange wolf-pooka or nunnehi. The throne of the Duchy of Climbing Sky is passed on by the Queen's behest to someone better suited to rule in an age of strife. Duke Aylwyn ap Keldee ap Fiona is a sidhe of firm and noble bearing and a 'hero' of the Accordance War.
Wine and Roses has a brief background available.

The County of Evening Water contains several Baronies centred on Vancouver, British Columbia, on the west coast of the Kingdom of Northern Ice. The Countess of EveningWater was proclaimed Traitor to the Crown, and the borders of Evening Water were sealed tight by the corcery and soldiery of Duke Aylwyn ap Keldee asp Fiona.

The Prairies
Next the Duchy of Climbing Sky, a great expanse of golden fields and rolling hills marks the Duchy of Moons Crossing. It is said that in the days of the Accordance War, one battle was halted here by a vision seen by all present, of twin moons rising to meet in the sky. Both armies lay down their weapons, and spoke in peace. The Duchess here is Elspeth ap Gwydion, a young ruler who delights in sport and competition. Revels and Pennons are common celebrations in her palace, and she rarely has time to govern personally - such matters are left to her Eiluned chancellor, Baron Silvanus.

Upper and Lower Canada
Comprising the two Canadas, upper and lower, is the Duchy of Dragon's Hope. Duke Thomas of Nor of House Gwydion rules here from his palace carved from the limestone caverns beneath the buildings of Parliament. Legend tells of a Dragon which lived in the northern forests of this Duchy, many years before the Resurgence, and which laid one dragon's egg, well hidden, before journeying beneath the mountains to sleep until "the fall of the sky." No living fae remembers seeing such a Dream, but from it the Duchy takes its name.

The County of Winter's Discontent holds the demesne of the Queen's Opera House amongst its call to fame. The Endless Trod can be found here also. The Kithain of the County are strong and independant. History, can be found here, with places of note described.

The Maritimes
The Duchy of Winter's Edge comprises the Maritime provinces, on the far eastern sea from Climbing Sky. The Duchess Olwen of House Dougal rules from solitude on the Island of Princes, rarely meeting with her subjects. Three Counts serve her, one for each of three Counties in her demesne. Olwen is rarely seen in public; her chancellor most often speaks for her - it is rumoured that her House Ban prevents her speaking. In any event, she is not heard to speak, but she can occasionally be found to play upon the marvellous harps and guitars of her own craft, as she is a renowned luthier (maker of stringed instruments).

The North
Far, far in the cold north, abutting the third Sea, a frozen waste of ice, lies the Duchy of Spring's Promise. A sun-swept tundra, cold yet beautiful, holds few fae, but is host to Caer Frost, the Queen's own palace, which has walls carved from the Borealis and glittering lights of the Northern Sky. The Duke here is Roland ap Fiona, a hard Seelie who strives hard against the encroaching Winter of Dreams. An irony, he is swift to point out, is the deep 'summer' Glamour which can be found in the cold North. Banality encroaches little where humanity can be found only in Dreams.
The Queen's court is reclusive, holding to Caer Frost and leaving
rulership of the Duchy to Duke Roland. It is the Queen's Own Champion, who resides in Winter's Discontent, who bears the Queen's Good Will across Her Kingdom.
