| Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies |
| 1 cup shortening 1 cup peanut butter 2 tsp. vanilla 2 cups sugar 4 eggs 3 cups flour 2 Tbls. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1/2 tsp nutmeg 4 cups quick cooking oats 2/3 cups milk In a large bowl cream together first 3 ingredients. Add sugar and mix until light and fluffy; beat in eggs In another large bowl, sift together remaining ingredients except the oats and milk. Add the quick cooking oats. Aternately add the dry ingredients and the milk to the creamed mixture. Spoon cookie dough onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yeild about 6 dozen |
