Chinese Pepper Beef |
1 Pound boneless round steak, cut into thin strips 1 cup sliced onion 1 1/2 cups sliced celery 2 green peppers, chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. chopped garlic 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 cups beef broth, fat removed 4 Tbls. cornstarch 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce 1/2 cup water Spray a large skillet with a non-stick spray, Stir-Fry beef strips until browned. Add all but the last three ingredients. Simmer covered, for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, mix cornstarch with soy sauce and water. Stir into hot mixture and continue cooking until thickened. Serve over noodles or quick cooking brown rice. |
