Meat Patties in Sour Cream Sauce 1 lb. ground round or very lean ground beef 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs 1 egg, beaten 1/4 cup milk 1 Tbls. minced onion 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Salt and Pepper to taste Sauce: 3 Tbsp. butter 1 Tbsp. finely chopped green pepper 2 Tbsp. flour 1 (16 0z.) can diced tomatoes 1/2 pint sour cream- can use low fat Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, onion, pepper worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Form into 4 oval patties and brown lightly. Remove patties from pan and cook green pepper briefly in butter. Add flour and brown it lightly. Add tomatoes and stir until smooth. Add sour cream, and the correct the seasonings if necessary. Return patties to sauce. Cover and on low heat, cook approximately 25 minutes, stirring sauce occasionally. Serve with boiled white Rice. 4 Servings |
