Dialogue 3

Golan ran into Rabuan at the night market at Jalan Satok, Kuching, on Saturday evening.

Golan         : Hi Rabuan, what are you doing here?
Rabuan       : Oh Golan. What a place to meet you. I heard you went to Santubung...
Golan         : I went in the morning and came back just now about 7.00 . Are you
                    running an errand for somebody?
Rabuan       : Yes. My mum sent me here to get some fruits. I took the last orange in the
                    refrigerator.
Golan         : I see. Does your family eat a lot of fruits? I always take some fruits before
                    going to school.
Rabuan       : Oh yes, we do. Fruit is important in our daily diet.
Golan         : Yes I know. It keeps me healthy and prevents me from getting a cough and
                    cold.
Rabuan       : I agree, but fruit is not cheap. How can we afford to eat so much?
Golan         : That's why my parents planted a lot of fruit trees at our farm in Sri Aman.
What fruits do you want to buy?
Rabuan       : I want a comb of banana, some apples, oranges, pears and grapes.
Golan         : You must get more local fruits. They are good and contain as much as
vitamin C as those imported if it not more.
