Story 4

One afternoon Pak Senan set off to the market to sell a basket of rambutans and pineapples. But halfway there, the farmer felt tired. "Hmm...I think I'II have a rest, I've cycled for almost two hours" he thought. So he sat down under a tree. He put the basket of rambutans and pineapples beside him. Soon he fell asleep.
What the farmer did not know was that there were two monkeys up in the tree. They had been watching him all the time. When he fell asleep, one monkey climbed down. Then it took a handful of the rambutans and climbed quickly up the tree again. It was just about to eat them when one fell to the ground.
The greedy monkey jumped down at once and started looking for the rambutan. Just then Pak Senan woke up. ''What are you doing?'- he asked. This frightened the monkey! It dropped the rest of the rambutans and fled up the tree. So in the end, the greedy monkey did not have and rambutans to eat!
