Announcements:
Our NHS candy sales fundraiser will be starting very soon. Once the candy arrives, you must pay Mrs.
Williams $58 up front for a box of candy, and you will keep the money you
receive. This is NOT optional. You get 5 penalty hours if you don’t sell a
box, but you earn 1 hour for the first box sold, 2 for the second, and 3 for
the third. We will e-mail you when the
candy comes in.
All seniors must purchase a stole for graduation by March 2nd. They cost $22 and will be available for
pick-up in May after senior hours are due.
Please make checks payable to RHS.
Students who pay for stoles, yet do not complete their hours will not
receive a refund nor will they receive the stole.

Relay for Life
If anyone would like to captain an NHS Relay for Life team,
talk to (or e-mail) Andrew Bageant by the end of next week
Saturday Scholars
Middle school math tutoring this semester will be on 2/14,
3/14, 3/21, 4/1, 4/11, and 4/25 from 10:00 to 11:30. Students who wish to do
Saturday Scholars will have to fill out an application that they can find in
the NHS Box.
Chattahoochee
Challenge 10k Road Race – Saturday, February 7, 2009
Volunteers are needed to hand out water, assist with t-shirt
distribution, and help with registration and the finish line, along with a
variety of other race day activities. Any volunteer under the age of 16
must volunteer with an adult. Volunteers
must pre-register to take part in this event. All volunteers that sign up by Friday,
January 30, 2009 will get a free race day t-shirt at volunteer check-in on race
day. Sign up as soon as possible,
as space is limited.

RHS Red Cross Club
Blood Drive
Earn one drive point per person you get to donate blood
(including yourself). It will be this
Saturday in the RHS cafeteria. You must
be at least 110 pounds to donate. Please
bring photo ID. Sign up with the Red
Cross Club; Ramsey Ward is the president.

Police Athletic
League
I wanted to let you know that the Police Athletic League
(PAL) in Alpharetta is looking for student tutors for their after school
program. The pay is approximately $10.00
hr. to tutor elementary or middle school students one
on one at the PAL facility on the corner of Webb Bridge Rd. and Haynes
Bridge. If you know of any students who
might be interested, they can call Officer Jim Little at 678-297-6309 or email
him at jlittle@alpharetta.ga.us. You won’t get service hours for this, but you
will get paid.
Young Adult Clubs
Dances
You can sign up to help set up and decorate for the dances
(4:00 – 6:00 pm) or volunteer during the dances and dance with the disabled
young adults (6:00 – 9:30 pm).

Foster Care Support
Foundation Donation Center
Volunteers are needed for sorting clothing, sizing and
restocking the center for easy selection by foster children, playing with
babies and toddlers in the nursery while foster parents select their needed
items, washing, putting together or taking apart infant equipment to make
sure all is in excellent condition to be used by a foster child, sorting toys and
making sure all pieces are there. This is at 1240 B Alpharetta HWY, Roswell,
Georgia 30075
Tuesdays, Thursdays
and Saturdays 10:00am – 2:00pm
Wednesdays and
Fridays 10:00am – 1:00pm
You can volunteer at NFCC any time and it will count as
in-club hours.
