(A Synopsis of the RY 2000-2001 District Strategy)

VISION
To accomplish a well-rounded 1NFORMATION~EDUCATION PROGRAM for all Rotarians. Such newly acquired knowledge will result to appreciation, then affection and love for The Rotary Foundation and its programs not for our own benefit but for our communities, for our world, for our people.

MISSION
The District Governor, TRF Chairman, together with TRF faculty members (subcommittee Chairpersons), all District Officers and Club Presidents and leaders of RY 2000-2001 will inform, educate, and motivate all Rotarians of District 3820. The main goal is changing the common view of the TRF as a mere repository of donations, into its correct worth - as a source of support to every Club's, and District's, humanitarian projects, with the end view of optimizing each club's access to The Rotary Foundation.

STRATEGIC DECISIONS
I - Appointment/Election by clubs of either a one-man or three-member ROTARY FOUNDATION RESOURCE TEAM (TRF Team). The Team shall be appointed/elected with one-year or multi-year terms with main task of mastery of the intricacies of the Rotary Foundation.
II - The TRF Team shall act as consultant/s and trainor/s of the club and promoter of club's access to The Rotary Foundation.
III - The TRF Team shall train with a specialized curriculum under the TRF Faculty at least twice, with regular updating.
IV - All line District Officers shall be requested to inform, educate, and motivate Rotarians in their areas of responsibility.

TACTICAL DECISIONS
I - Forecasts and targets per club shall be set before July 1, 2000. Such targets shall be aggregated to become the DISTRICT GOAL.
II - All TRF efforts and projects shall form part of a club's evaluation for mid/end - year review.
III - All TRF efforts shall be included in the criteria for club awards.
IV - The District shall formulate special recognition for individual Rotarians who excel in TRF work.

OBJECTIVES - JULY 1 TO May 15, 2000
I - Increase Matching Grants access by 500% over 1998-1999 level of six (6) and/or 30 clubs newly accessing for the year 2000-200 1.
II - Increase Number of Paul Harris Fellows by 30. Increase number of sustaining Paul Harris fellows by 80.
III - US$100,000.00 Annual giving Target for District 3820.
