The Creation
of man
“What
is man that You are mindful of him,
or the son of man that You take care of him?
You have made him a little lower than the Angels.”
Hebrews 2:6-7.
By the time man was created in Eden, Satan was already the full embodiment of
evil. He existed in his own dominion of HELL, a Dimension of perpetual
Darkness and total Defilement, devoid of every attribute of GOD.
One Third of the Angelic Hosts were LOST, corrupted beyond restoration, under
the leadership of Satan. Remember Lucifer was a
“prince” in the
Heavens, created to lead the vast choirs of Angelic Hosts, and as such, he had
perfect
leadership abilities. Indeed, the hierarchies the
fallen Angels once had in Heaven were retained in HELL, so the lesser Angels become
the lesser Demons, and the greater Angels became the greater Demons, all under
the leadership of Satan. “And
they had as KING over them the Angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is
Abaddon.” Revelation 9:11.
Satan rules as
a monarch in his Dominion of HELL.
The Luciferian rebellion had destroyed the perfect order of Creation. One Third
of it was missing. How would this gap be made whole again?
Answer: by a new Creation. Keep this One Third measure in mind because GOD
refers to it over and over again in Scripture, and we will be referring to it
again in ‘The
Reward of the Just’
article.
And GOD decided to create a new Creation, a new type of being into a new Dimension - the
Physical Dimension. Question: Why create into a new Dimension? Why
not just continue to create into the existing Spiritual Dimension? The
answer is: to give man
a choice between Good and Evil.
Since Heaven is a place of absolute perfection, void of all evil, how can man
choose between Good and Evil in Heaven? And since Hell is a place of absolute
imperfection, void of all good, how can man choose between Good and Evil in
Hell? No choices can be made in the Spiritual Dimensions because they are
“absolute” states of existence.
The only place where man can choose between Good and Evil is in a place where
both Good and Evil exist side by side, and that is the Physical Dimension.
Note:
the Physical Dimension is a
composite plane of existence just like the nature of man is a composite being.
This is evident in the fact that the Physical Dimension contains both Darkness and Light in the
forms of Night and Day. Only in the Physical Dimension can two opposing and conflicting qualities, Good
and Evil, Darkness and Light, exist side by side.
This gives us another great insight, that the Physical Dimension was created
solely for the purpose of man. Note the reverse order of Creations: the
Archangels were created first and then their realms, but with man, the earth was
created first and man was created last.
Man Created Lower than
the Angels
Why did GOD create man lower than the Angels? Was it because GOD
loved man less? No. GOD's love is infinite, without measure, without limit,
and He loves ALL of His creation with the same love. Matter
of fact, since GOD IS LOVE, any change in His love would constitute a
change of BEING, and we know that GOD does NOT change. “I
the Lord do not change.” Malachi 3:6.
That means GOD's Love remains constant
at all times.
Paradoxically, it was precisely because GOD loved man that He
created him lower than the Angels. Matter of fact, it was absolutely
essential that man be
created LOWER than the Angelic Hosts. Why? To understand this we
need to understand the nature of Angels and how Sin effects them,
which I have already outlined in ‘The Nature of Angels’
article.
GOD created man with a lower nature. What does this
mean? It means that GOD created man with the ability to hold dualistic
qualities within himself. That means no matter how
much man sins, he can NEVER sin completely and absolutely with 100% of his
being. Even the most evil human being in the world does not sin
100% of the time, with 100% of his being. This is a very important point.
Man's
nature was created with the capacity to contain both good and evil within
himself. Angels
were NOT. Thus man is not a pure being but a composite of
opposing and conflicting qualities. On the surface this may look like a
bad thing, but it's actually a very good thing because it means that man
can NEVER corrupt himself to the same level as the fallen Angels did.
Ah now we can see the
Wisdom of GOD and His great Love for man!
Note that SIN itself is a constant. In other words, Sin is still
Sin, whether an Angel or a man commits it. The only thing that differs is
the NATURE of the being in which the Sin is contained.
* In Angels, Sin becomes absolute
because their natures are “absolute” and “pure.”
* In Man, Sin remains incomplete
because his nature is composite.
So GOD, in His great Wisdom and unsurpassing Love, took the precaution that if man
ever sinned, he would not end up as the fallen Angels have.
There is another important difference we must understand, and that is, the
CONDITION under which SIN is committed. The Angelic Hosts, being perfect
in all things, sinned:
1. With full knowledge.
2. With full intent.
3. Under complete free will.
Man, on the other hand, sins:
1. With incomplete knowledge.
2. Without perfect intent.
3. Not always under free will.
Matter of fact, incomplete knowledge guarantees that you will never Sin with
perfect intent, because only full knowledge would reveal to you the full
consequence and grievousness of your Sin. So while the Sin
itself remains the same (is a constant), there is a great difference in the condition
under which Sin is committed, and in the nature
of the beings committing it.
This may be one reason why GOD created man in the Physical Dimension. As
long as man is bound in a body of flesh, he can never have full knowledge of
GOD, and thus when man sins, he does not really comprehend the gravity of
what he is doing - so the FULL accountability of Sin cannot be applied to him.
So man on earth does not Sin under the same conditions as the fallen
Angels did.
We can truly thank GOD that He created us lower than the Angels,
because if He had not, the moment we had sinned, we would be
forever “damned” like the fallen Angels are. Our innate
lowly state prevents us from ever comprehending the fullness of the knowledge of
Sin, and also prevents us from sinning to the absolute.
