God's
Greatest Warrior
David

“My
Servant David, who kept My Commandments,
and who
followed Me with ALL his
heart,
to do ONLY what was right in My eyes.”
1 Kings 14:8.
The story of David and Goliath is the story of the battle between Good and
Evil. Goliath, the abomination, who profanes the name
of GOD, and David the Saint of GOD, who came to defend GOD's honour. Note:
both David and Goliath are zealous to the extreme, that is, unto Death.
Goliath's zeal to profane the name of GOD is just as great as David's zeal to
defend it.
As with all battles between Good and Evil, this battle is unto Death.
Either you destroy the Evil or it will destroy you. This theme is repeated
in Scripture over and over again.
Similarities between
Goliath and Satan
* Goliath challenged the GOD of Israel on earth.
* Satan
challenged GOD in Heaven.
* Goliath profaned the name of GOD on earth.
* Satan profanes the name of GOD in all Dimensions.
* Goliath's challenge was that Israel “prove”
itself or admit it had “no
GOD.”
* Satan challenge to Jesus in the wilderness
was that He “prove”
Himself to be the “Son of
GOD.”
* Goliath was an abnormal human genetic misfit - a perversion of the
natural order.
* Satan is a spiritual abomination - a perversion of the Spiritual order.
See how Satan is mirrored in Goliath.
Similarities between
David and Jesus
* David was a shepherd boy who took care of his sheep.
* Jesus is the Good Shepherd who takes care of us.
* David defended GOD's name before the Gentiles.
* Jesus came as a Witness to the
Father to all nations.
* David was made King of Israel for a period of time on earth.
* Jesus is the eternal KING of Israel.
* David
was “a
man after GOD's own Heart.”
* Jesus is the Heart of the Father.
See how
Jesus is mirrored in David.
David - A Perfect
Conduit of GOD's Power
During his
lifetime, David fought 18
Wars. Without David, Israel would have been decimated by the Philistines.
What makes David such a perfect conduit of GOD's power more than any other human
being in history? Refer to my article
‘The
Saints of GOD.’
To be
a perfect conduit, you must free from impurities
which hinder the flow of the Spirit of GOD within you. Yet this in itself
is not enough. You also have to be a witness
for GOD and to be zealous for His Word.
We know David was an absolutely
PERFECT conduit of
GOD's power because Scripture tells us so: witness
for GODperson in the entire Bible who is
ever called “...
a
man after GOD's own Heart.” 1 Samuel 13:14.
Why a man after GOD's own heart? Because David loved GOD the way He wanted
to be loved.
And how does GOD want to be Loved? What kind of a relationship does GOD
crave? The answer is given in Scripture in the metaphor of Marriage.
“For
your Maker is your Husband, the LORD of Hosts is His name.”
Isaiah 54:5. “In
that day,”
declares the LORD, “you
will call me ‘my
husband’,
you will no longer call me ‘my
master’.”
Hosea 2:16.
“Thus
says the LORD: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man
glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches, but let him who
glories glory in this - that he understands and knows
Me.”
Jeremiah 9:23-24. The
Hebrew word for “to
know”
is yada. If
we go back to Genesis, we read: “And
Adam knew Eve
his wife ...”
Genesis 4:1. The
same word yada
is used here. It means “to
know”
in the deepest way possible.
GOD uses the metaphor of Marriage to describe what His own heart longs for with
every human being. David loved GOD in this manner and that is why he is
called “a
man after GOD's own Heart.”
It was an
all-consuming passionate Love. It
is no wonder that GOD Himself would choose to incarnate through the lineage of
David, for Jesus' attributes were mirrored in David 1,000 years previously.
