Satan
A Being Divided

SATAN is forever a being divided against himself.  Note: the word SATAN, pronounced SAR-TARN, is a Hebrew word.  The “a” is NOT pronounced “ay” but “ar” as in arm.  TAN in Hebrew literally meaning “wild beast  The word SATAN in Hebrew is NOT a personal name, but a condition or state of being.  It is a description of accusation, of being an adversary.  In Israel, a prosecuting attorney in a Court of Law is called a SATAN.

In the Old Testament, the word SATAN can be applied to
anyone acting as an accuser or enemy against another.

“Behold, I have come as your adversary - AS YOUR SATAN - to stand against you, because your way is perverse before Me.”  Number 22:31.  Every time the Old Testament uses the word “adversary” it can be literally translated as SATAN.

SATAN, the Devil, is “the reverse of GOD”, for the Devil is the absolute reverse of GOD in everything.
I have heard people say: “Satan only ever does the will of GOD.”  Is this true?  Does Satan
really do the will of GOD by NEVER doing the will of GOD?  The fact that GOD has the ability to turn every work of Satan's into Good, does NOT mean Satan actually sets out to do Good.  Matter of fact, since “goodness” is an attribute of GOD, and Satan is devoid of ALL the attributes of GOD, we know that Satan can NEVER do any Good.

Thus to understand how Satan operates, and how and when he will act, we need to understand his nature.  If we understand his nature, we will ALWAYS understand when and how he will act.  To understand SATAN, keep these principles firmly in mind:
*  Satan is the REVERSE of GOD, and will ALWAYS act in reverse to GOD's nature.
*  ALL things Satan does is for the SELF.

How is Satan Divided Against Himself?

When Satan fragmented the nature of man in Eden, man became a composite being as he was filled with both evil and good.  The irony was that this
“fragmentation” would ensure that man's nature could never Sin to the absolute.  So Satan had in reality defeated his own purpose.  That purpose was to corrupt man to the absolute.  The great paradox is and remains that everything Satan desires, he himself works against.  How can this be?  Satan's will and Satan's nature are in direct opposition to each other.

*  What is Satan's primary will?  To be like GOD.  That means to receive Worship.
*  What is Satan's primary nature?  Satan is a
Sadist by nature.

Note: Satan's will to be
“
worshipped” and his desire to “hurt” are EQUAL.  So how is this a problem?  Satan is torn between his will for “worship” and his desire to “hurt  This reveals something very profound about Satan.  It reveals that Satan will eventually DESTROY those who worship him.  Thus Satan is divided against himself, for in his absolute need to destroy, he must destroy those who fulfil his will, those who worship him, thus defeating his own will of receiving worship.

*  What is Satan's secondary will?  To inject the fullness of his Sin into humanity.
*  What is Satan's secondary nature?
  Pride.

Note:
Satan's will to corrupt humanity to his own level and his desire to remain “unique” above all Creation are EQUAL.  So how is this a problem?  If we are all conformed into Satan's image, he will no longer be a “unique” creation.  We would all be “duplicates” of Satan and Satan would never allow anyone to be as “great” as he is, for he is a being that exalts himself over all.

As you can see, Satan can NEVER achieve his objectives, as his will and his nature constantly work against each other.  So Satan is forever working against himself.  Lucifer was certainly not created to be in opposition with himself, so why has this happened?

“For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”  Matthew 7:2.  Satan sought to divide Creation against GOD, but all he really achieved was to divide himself against himself.  That is because GOD is a part of His Creation, and to divide Creation against GOD is like dividing GOD against Himself.  Note what Christ says: “... and with the measure YOU use, it will be measured BACK TO YOU.”  Matthew 7:2.  What Satan tried to achieve in Creation is mirrored within himself.
