Jesse Ray Roudebush was born April 7, 1795, in Washington, Pennsylvania (some records state Rockingham Co., VA).  He married Huldah Ray (born September 13, 1795, in Washington, Pennsylvania) April 7, 1814. 

   In 1820 Jesse bought 60 acres from Tobias Roudebush, his brother, in what became Carroll Co., Ohio, and soon after another adjoining 80 acres. He lived here for several years, then moved to an 80 acre farm in Hanover, Columbiana Co., Ohio. He lived here for two years then moved to Carrollton, Ohio where Jesse and Huldah spent their remaining years.

Jesse Ray died August 23, 1868 in Carroll, Ohio.  Huldah died 1860 in Carroll, Ohio. They are both buried in Mt. Olivet Church Yard.
