Archery Rules & Regulation

The archery range will typically cover an area of 40 yards by 100 yards. A large open field with clear visibility is preferred. The entire range should be marked or roped off in such a way that a person cannot accidentally wander onto the range. There should be no activities at the other end of the range. Although most arrows discharged from a bow will strike the ground within the 100 yard range, it is possible to loft an arrow in excess of 100 yards using a bow with as little draw as 40lb.

Equipment Specifications

Any longbow or recurve bow can be used. Compound bows are not allowed. Arrows must have field points. No broadheads or hunting points allowed. Trigger releases, any modern sighting apparatus, and any non-period accessories are not permissible. The Range Marshal has the final say.
