The crossbow archery range will typically cover an area of 40 yards by 100 yards. A large open field with clear visibility is preferred. The entire range should be marked or roped off in such a way that a person cannot accidentally wander onto the range. There should be no activities at the other end of the range. Although most bolts discharged from a crossbow will strike the ground within the 100 yard range, it is possible to loft an arrow in excess of 100 yards using a bow with as little draw as 75lb. Equipment Specifications Only authentic style crossbows with traditional nut and release are permissible. Maximum bow draw must not exceed 150 lb. Field points are only allowed. Modern trigger releases, any modern sighting apparatus, and any non-period accessories are not permissible. The Range Marshal has the final say in all range issues. Standard Competition Rules
2. A flight will consist of 5 arrows. 3. Two flight each will be shot at the following distances:
40 yards 60 yards 4.Three minutes will be given per flight. 5.The highest accumulated score wins.
