Novice

Atire of the Novice

A novice’s costume consists of a brown friar’s tunic with a 3/8” black cord For a belt. A novice does not wear a mantle. The novice will wear a small belt pouch or bag to hold his book of writings and/or Bible. His head covering shall be a hood. A lady novice has the option of wearing a friar’s tunic of light blue with a white or near white tabard. The lady’s hood color may match either the tunic or the tabard. A household badge may be worn on a handkerchief or other device which is hung on the belt.

Level 1
    a. Apply to Bible College or Berean.
    b. Write three original prayers in book of writings. Share these prayers, one at each of three household meetings or events.
    c. Hold Novice rank 1, for a period of at least six months.
Level 2
    a. Complete 16 hours of Bible College or 1/2 of Berean courses for Certified Worker papers.
    b. Write three original prayers in book of writings. Share these prayers, one at each of three household meetings or events.
    c. Hold Novice rank 2, for a period of at six months. Costume: Add 1 black tassel to each end of belt. This tassel is to be presented at an official state function.
Level 3
    a. Complete education and apply for credentials.
    b. Write three original prayers in book of writings. Share these prayers, one at each of three household meetings or events.
    c. Hold Novice rank 3, for a period of at least six months. Costume: A walking stick or staff is to be made. This staff shall have a cross, the Clergy Guild symbol, affixed to it.
