To become a journeyman the following must be completed:

1. Know how to cut patterns of all types of fabrics with and without nap.
2. Know how to choose the right fabric for your pattern.
3. Know how to finish seams and sew different types of hems.
4. Be able to sew a zipper in a garment and make button holes.
5. Make an outfit including a tunic, surcote, and a lined cape with hood.
6. Make your table cloth with your coat of arms.
7. Write a 2,000 word essay of Middle Age costume.
