Voice from the Tomb

 

The story goes like this:  There was a millionaire grain trader who had three children.  He raised them by himself and dedicated his life to his children after his wife died.  But the children were lazy and thought they would inherit all the money from their dad.  He thought his children wasteful, and believed they took him for granted.  When he died, all the money went to charity.  All he left them in his will were the following dates of when to buy and when to sell Wheat &Corn.  The will indicated that if they strictly followed his advice, they would have the fortune they always thought was going to drop in their laps:

 

Wheat

Sell March wheat on Jan 10

Buy May and/or July wheat on Feb 22

Sell July wheat on May 10

Buy Dec wheat on July 1

Sell Dec wheat on Sept 10

Buy Mar Wheat on Nov 28

 

Corn

Buy July corn on Mar 1

Sell July corn on May 20

Buy Dec corn on June 25

Sell Dec and Mar corn on Aug 10

 

This is the advice of the ˇ§Voice from the Tombˇ¨. The reason behind these trades is that the trader bets on the bad crop of silking, flowering periods of corn and wheat. I've tested the trades from 1960 to 2006, the result is not excited, it is about 60% correct.
