Background
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University's
medical department, Lauren had the potential to be a great doctor.
She had a special knack for determining the causes of peoples illnesses.
Howeer, Lauren had a problem. Sometimes when she touched an object,
she caught a fleeting image of something to do with that image. Once,
when working in JHU's emergency ward, she touched the a knife used in a
stabbing. The image she received from the knife made her scream out
in terror, and drover her into hysterics. She was forbidden by the
university to work in that ward anymore.
Lauren was eventually approached
by members of the Hoffman Institute. They said they knew what caused
her visions, and could help teach her to control them. She went to
work for the institute, first just as a doctor, and than by occassionally
employing her special power. A long time employee, Lauren has seen
lots of weird stuff. To defend herself, she has recently begun taking
firearm and self-defense training. Lauren has recently transferred
to field agent, but hopes to retire in a few more years, and start her
own practice. |
