RPG Games & Supplements

This is where you’ll find all my roleplaying games and supplements. I have reacted to the recent news that a commercial publisher has released a Wing Commander RPG and changed my own game to become The Original Wing Commander RPG (as mine was first :-) ).

My Own Games

The Original Wing Commander RPG — The first of many games using a deceptively simple RPG system which I have christened the Quick & Dirty RPG System (Q&D-RPG) that might well require the use of a calculator, if not the provided spreadsheets, for generating characters. Try it – you might even like it.

Update: It seems that a team in the US are developing an RPG system also called Quick & Dirty, so we’ll have to see what happens…

BID-IT Diceless RPG System — This is a set of simple, diceless RPG mechanics that I knocked up over a few hours (most of my RPG brainstorms come during the early hours of the morning…). Task resolution is dealt with by bidding, just like an auction. Players of the Amber Diceless RPG might like to take a look at it, as well as other players and referees who want a game that uses less rules, and allows the story to be that little more important – something that every RPG Pro should consider when they run RPG scenarios. MaBarry put it into her list for alternative rules for use in Amber DRPG, so that can’t be bad!

Milieu Role Playing System (MRPS) — This is the first RPG I created, and yet is still, in my opinion, unfinished. It is a detailed generic system that leans towards realistic combat and is quite mechanics intensive in that regard. It was originally held on a Freeservers site, but this was hacked and I have mirrored the site here. The first notes for this game were written in 1986…

Other People’s Work

Kimagure Orange Road — A very well written roleplaying game based on a Japanese animation TV show and comic series. Doesn’t take itself too seriously, and spoofs a lot of the content of Japanese animation. Written by Totoro Hunter Leto III, part of Robosmut International and Orange Roadies of San Diego. (???)

Update: It looks like that my site is now the only place that people can find this RPG. Get it now while you still can! Oh, and a Totoro is a cute, furry creature from the anime My Neighbor Totoro – just in case you were wondering…

White Wolf – World of Darkness

DNA — Genetically altered humans, engineered by Pentex or the government, fight to survive in the World of Darkness. (Not superheroes, but mutants)

BORG (Cyberstorm) — Cyborgs that kick furry Garou butt in the hands of Pentex, or reduce Fomori into quivering lumps of gore in the hands of their players. No magic and no mysticism – just pure, unadulterated cybernetic power! Munchkin heaven??? (One of my first supplements)

RAPTOR – Jurassic Legacy — A new form of Garou that are 65-million years old. Bring some reptilian blood into your Werewolf games. (Created before the Mokole book was released)

Terminator – Metal Dawn — If you thought that the BORG supplement was a munchkin’s dream, wait until you get a load of this supplement. Stomp around the World of Darkness as a T-800 Terminator, or if your a masochist, as a human resistance member sent back to protect it’s target. An excellent alternative adversary for those player who think they’re characters are invulnerable.

Terminator 2 – Liquid Metal — For the regular visitors, and especially Scot (you know who you are), I post the T-1000 supplement to the above Terminator – Metal Dawn supplement. Enjoy…

Apostle – Disciples — A character for those who want to be a light within the World of Darkness. Immortal descendents of the favourite disciple of Jesus Christ, John. Be nice, now…

Firearms — My own house rules for firearms, complete with rules for buckshot in shotguns and automatic fire. (Still valid even with the 3rd edition release)

Palladium® (RIFTS®, Macross II®, etc)

MADOX-01 Slave Trooper Battlesuit — From the “MADOX-Metal Skin Panic” Japanese Anime Video, I took the details of the SAMAS Power Armour used by the Coalition and made some rough estimates of how MADOX would compare. It’s no megatough mecha, but something reasonable. Take a look!
