It is important to find out the posting conventions for your RPG. As newspapers all have their own particular styles, different RPGs will have their own conventions. However, here are a few common ones to help you on your way. Please if you have a rpg that uses some abbreviations not used here, leave a comment on the noticeboard and I will add it.

NPC none player/ing character, that means that anyone can write for it. Opposite of PC
OCC Out of character. Opposite of IC OOC
