Sir Atremus Tayern General
Name: Sir Atremus Carrick-Meridian Tayern Appearance
Eyes: Atremus' eyes are a dark brown in color.
One could almost compare their coloring to chocolate, almost. His eyes are
very expressive, most times his emotions or thoughts show easily through
them. Their shape is nothing unique, their shape being average for most men
of his age and nationality. His hair is usually worn loose, at most times it seems as if had not bothered to run a brush through the strands. A short beard and mustache adorn his upper lip and chin adding to the shaggy, rough look of his appearance. Atremus has little reason to take a great deal of interest into his appearance. It is not on his high priority list. He will only fix himself so that he is presentable, no more and no less. His attire tends to run in the vicinity of second hand or worn down clothes. Whether his attire is from the fact he has little money to keep his wardrobe in prime condition or for the simple fact he liked worn-in clothes is uncertain. Either way, his style of clothing seems to fit him in both appearance and character. Personality General: Atremus stays away from taking sides. Many times we find ourselves in the middle of a "fight" of some sort and people urging us to join their side or view of things. In these situations, Atremus will step away from the different sides and stay on the sidelines. Very rarely will he choose a side, as most times he is able to see things from both point of views and will not set his mind to take one certain view over the other. In this way he is a good confident; someone could tell him something and he will not jump onto the person with his own views and try to convince them otherwise. He will not betray the trust that someone puts in him; he holds it in too high of regard to do such a thing. At times though it may seem a strength it is also a weakness. As he may not take a view on something he ought. He prefers to stay on the sidelines and watch the proceedings instead of jumping into it with everyone else, in this way he is an observer. Though most times Atremus is a very open person, he is also at times very secretive. It depends really on his mood at the time. In a good mood, he is willing to share anything and everything about him that one could ask. If in a bad mood he could clam up and prefer not to divulge any of the secrets he keeps within himself. Though most times he is the open sort. Atremus is not afraid of people. He doesn't care what view point people hold towards him. Even if the viewpoint is bad, he will not hold a grudge towards the person. He respects that person's decision and feelings. Likewise, he will not make any strong attempt to change the person's opinion, rather he will continue to be what he is. Atremus has a strong sense of duty and loyalty. If he knows something must be done, and it's his job to do so, he will complete the task to the best of his ability. He will not put the deed off, even if it is ill flavored. Those he gives his loyalty to will find that he is good to his word. He will protect them as needed. However, if they lose the loyalty, his trust in them even, they will find it very hard to earn again. In general, Atremus' personality is very easygoing. It takes much to get him rattled or angry. He is a very mellow person, however not mellow as it in dreary as his is cheerful sort of person. For the most part he has an optimistic outlook on life. History
Place of Birth: Ireland. Although the Tayern family would be accepted by many wizard families, for the simple fact that they were purebloods, they were poor. After the death of his father, Atremus' mother had all she could do to support her son and herself. As Atremus grew older, he began to help his mother around the home, and when he was allowed in the shop. Despite his eagerness to help, things were still rough for him. When he had turned eleven, Atremus was accepted into a nearby wizardry school. Despite their poor circumstances, his mother made sure that he would be able to receive a proper education. When he was able to start working, Atremus took a job quickly. With his earnings he would help his mother support the both of them. The year he graduated, Atremus went out into the world. He did not wish to burden his mother further. While he had been at school things had not improved for them, as his mother went through four different jobs in this period. However, while Atremus was in school, he did well in his studies. For the most part, he had a well-balanced strength in his classes. He found each interesting in their own aspects. After leaving school, Atremus pretty much lived from day to day. Occasionally he would settle into an apartment while he took a job. In this fashion he spent most of twenty years. Upon reaching thirty-two, Atremus found himself taking a position in the Ministry of Magic. Until just recently, Atremus had worked as an Unspeakable in the Ministry. This time in his life coming to an end as he found he did not like the experience the position was giving him any more. The position was becoming ill suited for him. After many months of paperwork and meetings with officials, Atremus was released from the Department of Mysteries. With this release another chapter of his history ended, although not without a remembrance. The Ministry having given him an award for his work there: a First Class of Merlin and a title. Little good it did him however. They were only words. With the ending of this chapter, Atremus found himself returning to the way he had lived the second ten years of his life. He moved from place to place, job to job. However, this ended, when he found an ad in the newspaper, a few days old, requesting Staff members for a school. Atremus did not believe he would receive a position but he was willing to try. Other
