Torrance J'ariner General
Name: Torrance Lawler J’ariner Appearance Eyes: Torrance’s are an almond shape with light somewhat thick lashes. The irises are a light blue to gray in coloring. The coloring shifting depending on the light. A person’s eyes are often referred to the window to a person’s soul. If this is true then Torrance’s window has a sheer fabric in front of it. The fabric making it hard to see what exactly is going on. Torrance’s eyes could easily confuse a person as to what is going on behind their depths. Hair: The color of his hair in a mixture of Blonde to a light brown. The strands are long, falling just below his shoulders. Torrance’s hair is usually pulled back into a ponytail at the nape of his neck. The closes he has to bangs are the strands at the forefront of his face that escape the confines of the hair band. Very rarely will he wear his hair loose. It has been suggested to Torrance that he cut his hair, however these suggestions have always been met with a glare. There has yet to be a person to convince him that cutting his hair may be a good idea. General: Standing at around five foot nine, Torrance is on the taller side of an average height of males. He has a thin, lean build. His shoulders are somewhat wide, which had given him grief in the past. However, lately this has gotten better, as his body continued to grow, allowing him to grow into his shoulders. Besides a birthmark upon his left shoulder, Torrance has no distinguishing marks upon his body. He had never fallen into the fad of piercings or the interest in any sort of tattoo. Likewise, he has little love for any sort of jewelry, be it a necklace or similar. However, he will wear a watch. His attire runs in the direction of dark colors and somewhat loose clothing. His most common attire tends to be a pair of dark slacks, shoes, and a white button up, long sleeve shirt. He doesn’t really care if his attire appears formal or casual as he only wears what he likes and feels comfortable in. If that happens to run in the formal dress then so be it. Personality Torrance in one phrase is a quiet observer. However, this is not to say he isn’t a talkative person. He just prefers to remain silent, but if he has something to say he will say it. It doesn’t matter if what he wants to say will hurt the person he is speaking to or not. His attitude towards people tends to be of a more cool nature. He does not warm up to people quickly; however, he is not necessarily rude towards them. That depends on the mood he is currently in. Having little care for how he appears to others, Torrance will not curb his tongue in his comments. In this way, many of his comments can have a harsh bite to them. However, Torrance is not without intelligence. He has enough common sense and quick wit to know when his comments will cross the line. Crossing the line in the sense of getting him into something he can’t handle, whether it be a battle of magic, words, hand to hand, or what not. Torrance is well aware of his limits in his abilities. He has the small problem of liking his limbs where they are, in working condition, and little to no pain. However, Torrance is not afraid to get into a fight but he will tend to avoid them if at all possible. He is not afraid to back down either, even if it will hurt his pride or show him to disadvantage. Sometimes the key is knowing when to quit. This quality tends to leave Torrance on the sidelines of issues and conflicts but then he is more of someone to work in the background. Torrance is not afraid of a little work. He is very determined. And he works best when alone. When given a task, Torrance will accomplish it to his best ability. He will suffer no less from himself. If there is a problem in his way he will find the means to remove it. Whether this is a matter of pride or just plain being stubborn is uncertain. Either way he will find a way to make what he wants happen. Though don't get the idea that he is self-centered. He has reasonable goals and thoughts. He knows what he can control and what he cannot. History
Place of Birth: Ireland. History: A native of Ireland, the J’ariner children have been going to school at Druantia for quite a ways back in their family history. So it is little wonder that the J’ariner family has little love for the muggle world and likewise muggleborns and those who affiliate with them. As well as being an older family name, the J’ariner also hold a small fortune to their name, however this is not common knowledge. Mostly from the fact that they do not flaunt their wealth nor do they live extravagantly. It has often been wondered by other families whether the J’ariners still had any money at all. With all three current J’ariner children having been sent to Druantia for their education, it is no wonder that they had been part of the students to rebel against the Muggleborns and the likes being allowed into the school. However, so far only Torrance had been a member of the Purifiers, if a more background member. His sister, Ember, although disliking the Muggleborns as much as her brothers and the rest of her family, showed little interest in joining a side. However, it is basically unstated that she is a Purifier. She speaks little to those of muggle orientations and that’s only if it is absolutely necessary. Other
