This is our tent city in Heavener, Oklahoma, just outside of Poteau,
Oklahoma. I found that Heavener was a very nice place with lots of friendly
and outgoing people. The pizza place there was pretty good. And gosh, the
hamburgers were fresh off the grill.
This is Mena, Arkansas. They actually had hot water in their showers! The food was great as well.
This is the front side of my tent. I call my tent my Y2K back-up home.
I was just resting after an over 60 mile ride to Salina, Oklahoma. On
the trail, one of the arrows pointed towards the wrong direction. Several
of us, including me were led astray. I was over 10 miles off course! But
I figured out that I was wrong, because no one was passing me for some time,
lol.
