On January 23, 2000 an ice storm hit our area. At 10:30 a.m.   ,we lost power.  Below are some pictures that try to capture that event... Not what the woods behind us usually look like! As you can see, the trees became heavy with Ice... This is a view out the front of our house. Those Carolina Pines are really bending.... I hear lots of cracking sounds from outside.    Oh no! It looks like we lost a Carolina Pine in our yard.
