Power Point Assignments

We will use the following information  to create a Power Point presentation. You will learn everything you need to create and present a Power Point Presentation. This introduction can also be used as a "help file" for your future projects.

Getting Started

1) Open Power Point 2) Select a blank presentation 3) In Auto Layout choose the second layout in the top row. 4)  Save as Power Point Intro. Note: The instructions are in red. Do not type the instruction.

Power Point Intro Slide 1

Type this title at the top of the slide Power Point Intro Slide 1. Use comic sans 42 Bold. Use the white text as headings. Put the following headings and information together in separate text boxes. Create the design template Format, Apply Design Template, choose cactus and apply Change the background You can create your own backgrounds and edit the design template. Under format choose the option you desire. Insert a new slide Under Insert select duplicate slide

Power Point Intro Slide 2

Change the title to Power Point Intro Slide 2 Put the following information in separate text boxes (See slide 1). After you type the information apply it to your presentation. Viewing a Slide (viewing buttons or view drop down menu) Normal View: best all around view. Displays outline, slides and notes Outline View: Organizes presentation by headings and subheadings Slide View: Full screen Slide Sorter View: All Slides, easy to add, delete, arrange slides Insert a Slide Transition (How slides transition from one to another) Slideshow, Slide Transition (select transition, speed and sound), Select “on mouse click” and Apply to all Insert a duplicate slide

Power Point Intro Slide 3

Change the title to Power Point Intro Slide 3 Put the following information in separate text boxes (See Slide 1). After you type the information apply it to your presentation. Insert Clip Art Insert, Picture, Clip Art. Insert a clip of an animal and place to the right of the heading. Insert, place and size the WordArt Choose the wordart icon from the draw menu, input the text, click ok. Insert a wordart that say's "I love this class!". Place it and size it at the bottom of the slide. Format Custom Animation (Slide Show , custom animation) 1) Click on text one  2) Click order and timing tab and click start animation automatically after 2 seconds. 3) Click the effects tab  4) Under entry animation and sound choose: Fly from bottom and applause  5) Under Introduce text choose by letter. 6) Click preview  7) Format the rest of the page in custom animation. View your show. Under slide show select view show. Insert a duplicate slide

Power Point Intro Slide 4

Change the title to Power Point Intro Slide 4 Put the following information in separate text boxes (See Slide 1). Use custom animation to format this page. After you type the information apply it to your presentation. Insert and place the Motion Art (just like clip art) 1) Insert, Picture, Clip Art, Motion Clips tab, Preview, Insert Insert a motion clip on this slide Insert music throughout slide show 1) Insert, movies and sounds, sounds from sound gallery,entertainment,choose a tune, Insert 2) Click yes to play song automatically Format the sound 1) Select the sound, Custom animation, Multimedia tab 2) Click:  play using animation order, continue through slide show, stop playing four slides 3) Click: more options and check loop until start, OK To insert a song from a CD, Use the same steps. Except select insert sound from file. The CD must be in the drive for the song to play. Running the Slide Show Automatically 1) Slide transition, advance, automatically, 7-10 seconds, apply to all Running the Slide Show in a continuous loop 1) Slide show, set up show, loop, all slides, use timings
