Recall Darwin's Finches we recently did (b) You will also be able to connect key points on how environments can shape individual species of other animals aside from birds May 13th, 2006 COMPARING CHORDATES (a) In this lab. you will be able to see how different organisms have similar body parts. Recall organisms come from a common ancestor (b) You will also be able to see how different environments modify these similar body parts (Homology) May 19th, 2006 BIODIVERSITY I (a) This is the beginning of a 3 week Lab. It is also a State Lab. In this Lab., you will be able to perform several techniques in an attempt to see the similarities between various plant species. (b) Recall Chromatography, DNA analysis using Gel-Electrophoresis and comparing Genetic Codes for certain Amino Acids May 26th, 2006 BIODIVERSITY II (a) This section deals with the Molecular Comparison of the plants. For example, you will be comparing the genetic information and other molecular similarities between the plants (b) You should be able to see some type of similarity at the end of this Lab.
