Episode synopses:
"3"--- During Scully's disappearance
Mulder goes to Los Angeles for a case resembling vampire attacks. The first
suspect brought
in works at a blood bank and calls himself the son. Mulder believes
him to be delusion, but when the suspect is touched by sunlight through
the window of the interrogation room her burns to death. Mulder goes to
"Club Tepes"a gothic night club and meets Kristen. While there Kristen
offers another man a drop of her blood. He accepts and is later attacked
by
Kristen's accomplices and drained
of his blood. From evidence at the crime scene Mulder locates Kristen.
She tells him about her connection to "The Son". Mulder and Kristen spend
the night together. The next day "The Son" and the "The Father" attack
Mulder and Kristen. The fight ends with "The father being implied by Kristen
hitting him with a car into a large nail, and Kristen pouring gasoline
over herself and "The Son".
Bad Blood"--- Mulder
and Scully investigate the exsanguinations of cattle and a tourist from
New Jersey in a small Texas town.
While there, another victim is discovered. Scully does autopsies on the
two human victims and finds they were both drugged and had pizza. After
eating the drugged a pizza, Mulder is attacked by the pizza delivery boy.
Throwing sunflower seeds on the floor Mulder is able to escape the
attack (vampires are obsessive compulsive and must clean up messes). Mulder
chases the delivery boy and "stakes him. Scully arrives and discovered
the delivery boy's fangs are plastic. Mulder and Scully head back to DC
and compare stories before seeing Skinner. Before they can give their reports
they are called back to the town. It seems the boy's body reanimated when
the stake was removed by the coroner. The whole town turns out to be vampires
that travel the country via RV's.
The Truth: Vampires
can be found in folklore of almost every part of the world, but most well
known in Europe. The best known vampire, Count Dracula, was based on a
real ruler in Europe known as Vlad the Impaler who was known to impale
his victims on
poles. there is a real disease called porphyria which has has the affect
of making the patient's skin to blister in sunlight. In the 20th century,
there is a sub-culture of people who are into the goth lifestyle who participate
in dressing as vampires and drinking blood.
