Felton House

The Felton House pictured here is actually the Felton Junior House. This is one of the oldest houses in Peabody, now owned by the Peabody Historical Society. It was built by Felton Senior for his son. Tours of the house are available at certain times of the year and functions can be held there for special occasions. The house is situated within Brooksby Farm and sits directly across from the old barn. A short distance down Felton Street the new barn can be seen. The work "Brooksby Farm" illustrates this area.

This piece was scanned directly from an Arist's Proof measuring almost 5.25" x 6.75". The enlarged image was scanned at 600 dpi (I don't know why I did this it should only be 72dpi!) and while it may take some time to is a good representation of my earliest work. The etching was done on spring on 1995 and was the third plate I worked. It is about as detailed as I could get without risking the acid underbiting the ground and distorting the line drawing. It is a popular piece and has been sold from $50.00 for an unmatted/unframed print to about $125.00 fully framed and matted using high quality acid free materials.
