In Brief (about me)
When I was growing up in Peru I felt that I had only four career choices to pick from, Law, Medicine, Engineering or Business Administration. I have loved taking pictures since I was 12, but never thought of photography as one of my alternatives. When I came to college to the USA many more opportunities were opened to me, photography being one of them. Now I work for a major newspaper (The Miami Herald), and I get to shoot a variety of subject matter. Although I shoot a lot of PEOPLE shots, (Click on the underline words to see some of my work.) My best work is probably table top, like still life, CATALOG , and FOOD photography. So I freelance in those areas plus in the areas of annual reports and advertising. This shot is a fashion shot I call it HATS You can't work in Miami with out shooting some cigar shots these are just a few from a couple of stories I have worked on:CIGAR
I like all type of art but my favorite discipline is sculpture so I enjoy building sets and doing special effects photos. I did this one before I started to use Photoshop. It is shot on one sheet of 4x5 film in 4 multiple exposures: BASEBALL
