Annual Cocktail Party

Cocktail Party here I come! The Cocktail Party is the RSPCA Port Lincoln major annual fundraising event. The branch relies on fundraising events such as this to support its work to care and protect the animals in this area.

The first Cocktail Party held by the branch was in 2001 to celebrate the branches first birthday. A great night was had by all. It was so successful that it was decided to incorporate it in to the branches Annual fund raising calender. Each year it gets bigger and more successfull. It is now accepted as the premium social event of the year in Port Lincoln and has become a trendsetter with other organisations now holding their own similar events.

Each year the Cocktail Party has incorporated a sumptuos seafood smorgasbord prepared by our volunteers and Club staff. People talk about it for months after. We have had Sushimi Tuna, Prawns, Oysters, Rock Lobster (crayfish) and Calamari, plus all the ordinary stuff like chicken platters, cold meat and salads, savouries and desserts etc.

We have been able to get the support of some great entertainers. People like Chris Finnen and Sherilee Hawkins and local talent such as the Rough Red Trio, Nick Krieg and Nick Vladcoff have provided the entertainment for us. Great Music to go with Great Food.

The date and venue for this years party has not yet been set. But when it has it will again be a great opportunity to get dressed up and celebrate with your friends. Don't have a Dinner Suit!, well, you can always hire one!. If getting dressed up like that isn't your thing, well don't let that stop you coming along. Why don't you and your friends get together and organise a group to attend?. with your contact details and we will let you know when the date and venue have been set.

You will have a great night out and help the local branch at the same time. Don't worry, we won't run out of seafood!!

Your attendance will help: Each year, RSPCA Port Lincoln branch volunteers care for hundreds of Animals and answer calls at all times of the day and night and Inspectors conduct animal related visits investigating heartbreaking cruelty from starvation to physical abuse of animals.
