Can we ever understand what it is like to be a guru, how someone
becomes a guru
and what a guru knows that we do not know which makes him a guru and
us mere students.
Perhaps not, but we can give it our best shot:
The Mantra
You may think that the concept of "guru" and "mantra" go hand in hand,
however it does not
appear that this was always so. From the book "Astral Travel"
by Gavin and Yvonne Frost,
Pg. 16 we find:
"During the Middle Ages men began to scoff at astral
experiences; such experiences were not sanctioned by state-
controlled religions. At about the same time, eastern meditation
was changed. No longer was the meditator allowed to
float free (astral project); instead he was ordered to concentrate
on a single mantra."
Apparently, the mantra was invented - not to help people have experiences
-
but to prevent them from having experiences so that they could be kept
down
and controlled.
As we discussed in detail in The Dera Trips argument, when a satsangi
told
Charan Singh he was getting out of his body, Charan Singh immediately
told
him he should spend more time in simran (chanting the mantra).
This,
according to the data above, would destroy this man's natural ability
to
get out of his body and prevent him from having real experiences.
Clearly if a guru can get out of his body but his students cannot because
they
are given instructions designed to prevent them from doing so, the
guru is in
a decidedly superior position.
We may also have the explanation of why a newly appointed guru seems
to know
very little (even though he may have been a student for many years)
and in short
order begins to demonstrate esoteric knowledge and powers.
Someone - one of
the "elders" or whatever - chosen to "guard the secrets" tells the
new guru how to
use techniques that really do work after which he quickly develops.
The Third Eye
The third eye is very real, however it has characteristics students
are not told about.
Again, from "Astral Travel" Pgs. 90-91:
"That most sensitive computer, the brain, can easily be
directly influenced by psychic energies. It appears that the
majority of these energies flow in through what is called the
'third eye', the place in the centre-forehead that high-caste
Hindus protect with the red caste mark."
Apparently, the third eye is an "open port" through which people who
know how
can feed information and thoughts directly into your brain for their
own benefit.
Could it be that is how stasangies acquire thoughts and desires such
as:
"I must give money to the guru."
"I must travel to the work site and work on the guru's new center."
"I must write a will and leave everything I own to the guru."
Of course it could all be coincidence, but then again...
Karma
Again, from "Astral Travel" Pg. 209:
"There is no backslipping from a complex to a simpler
being; that is, if you are "bad" you won't 'transmigrate' or
reincarnate as a lower-level animal. None of the researchers
had any reports to give on any record of their progress held
in any great book or akashic hall. The whole theory of the
threat system called 'karmic debt' appears to be a myth
invented by the Law-Giver Manu."
I just want to add that "the researchers" are not intellectual or book
researchers,
but are people who can actually go to the Astral world and directly
explore it.
Their reports are from direct observation.
Inner Visions
We know from Baba Faqir Chand's statements which I have discussed elsewhere
that a guru does not have to do anything to get students to "see his
form inside".
It is just a phenomenon which happens. Gurus know this and use
it to their advantage,
but they do not understand how or why it works.
In the book "The Magic Power of Witchcraft" by Gavin and Yvonne Frost,
the following techniques are discussed as standard methods used by
practitioners:
Project into people's dreams and convince them to do whatever you want them to.
Project into someone's dreams/thoughts who you have never met and pre-condition
them so that when you do meet them they have an unexplained affinity
for you
like you were an old and dear friend (or perhaps "their master").
Anyone who takes a Witchcraft course is taught to do these things -
as well as many
other tricks.
Talismans
Talismans are items that people who work in the occult field use to
control energies
and to protect themselves from danger while out of their bodies or
in situations where
they may come under psychic attack.
From "Astral Travel" Pg. 92:
"Protecting the Hands
There are two ways to do this. First, you might choose to
wear on each wrist a bracelet of solid iron. The Sikhs
favor
this method of protection and have such bracelets welded on
before they go into battle. Alternatively, finger rings can be
used."
When Charan Singh was asked about the metal bracelet he wore, I believe
his answer
was to the effect that it was a gift from his mother and that he only
wore it to please her.
Is it possible that there could be other reasons.
Rationale of the "Scum Bag Gurus"
If gurus believe what they teach about karma, punishment, reincarnation
and terrible
hells for the wicked, then why do many of them (whom David Lane calls
"Scum Bag
Gurus") do bad things.
Is it just possible that, in the process of enlightenment, they have
learned that there
is no hell - no karma - no punishment - no being reincarnated as a
lower life form.
Is it possible that they really do know the truth and that the
truth is they can do
anything they can get away with and nothing at all is going to happen
to them as
a consequence.
