THE ORGANIZATIONAL MODEL FOR RS-BEAS
To establish some reference for our discussion, let's first look at the way RS-Beas is organized:
LEVEL "0" - THE "UNSEEN PEOPLE"
LEVEL "1" - THE MASTER
LEVEL "2" - PERMISSION TO ANSWER QUESTIONS
LEVEL "3" - THE REPRESENTATIVES
LEVEL "4" - THE SECRETARIES
LEVEL "5" - OFFICIAL SPEAKERS
LEVEL "6" - PERMISSION TO SPEAK
LEVEL "7" - GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
Now let's take a look at these levels:
Level "0" (symbolized as the circle above the pyramid)
We call this level "The Unseen People" because that is exactly what
they are. These are the
people at the Dera who tell the Master what to do and have the power
to physically lock him
up if he does not obey them. We know that they are there because
Charan Singh was locked up
by them when he suggested that he did not want the duties of being
a Master.
Level "1" (symbolized as the peak of the pyramid)
The Master - always a male member of the Singh family (ruling family
scenario)
Level "2"
We call this level "Permission to answer questions". I did not
even know it existed until
I went to a bhandara in England. In all of England there is only
one lady who has been
given special permission by the Master to answer questions about RS.
Unless she attends
a meeting (which she did in this case) no questions can be answered.
Level "3"
These are the Representatives. In the United States there are
only four. They have special
privileges which include visiting the Dera whenever and for as long
as they like and access
to information about RS operations.
Level "4"
These are the secretaries. They have permission to receive newsletters
from other areas
of the country and access to special closed meetings with the Master.
Level "5"
These people are called "Official Speakers". They have permission
from the Master
to travel around and give satsangs.
Level "6"
This is a level slightly above the general membership in which someone
is "allowed"
to give satsang. Originally any member could give satsang but
now you need permission.
(Note: "giving satsang" is not a creative process, i.e., the speaker
is not allowed to voice
any independent thoughts or use his own words but must read, word for
word, from an
approved RS book)
Level "7"
This is the general membership level. You are allowed to receive
ONLY the newsletter
from your local area and are not allowed to know anything about other
areas.
One interesting thing I want to point out about this model is that it
is very similar to
the model for the "New World Order" as described in the "MAJESTYTWELVE"
documents. Basically, the World would be ruled by an unseen group
of "wise men"
who would control a "benevolent dictator" who would be worshipped as
god and
have absolute power over the world. If you are interested in

COMPARTMENTALIZATION
I don't want to spend too much time on this because it is the same system
that corporations
and governments use to keep people in darkness and make sure they know
all about you
and you know little or nothing about them.
In the US, for example, there are four "Areas". These are Eastern,
North Central, Western
and South Central. Each area has a representative and puts out
a newsletter but you can
only get the newsletter for your area. Secretaries and higher
can get all four newsletters.
Now the "newsletter" really contains no news. Ours is four pages.
Out of the four pages,
less than one page is "news". The rest of the space is filled
up by quoting from an approved
book (RS Book).
This does not mean that there is no news to report - lots of things
are going on.
I thought David Lane's report of being visited by high priced lawyers
who wanted
to get trademarks on "Radhasoami" was very interesting news but you
will never see
stuff like that in an RS Newsletter. Because I have friends in
England, I know that
the Master went there and reportedly made up special rules for them
saying that they could
not have food or refreshments at their bhandaras because "people might
come because
they enjoyed the food" (anything that gives pleasure or enjoyment is
prohibited in RS).
There is no such rule in the US but people in England do not know that.
Just think about how much you do not know. Have you ever seen
a membership list -
a financial statement - minutes of the meetings of the "committees"
that run RS ?
Do you know how much money they have or how much property they own
all over
the world ? Do you know anything about the Master's past other
than what has been
officially given out ? Probably not - and there is no intent
that you ever will.
SECRECY
First, I must point out that, when Gurinder Singh came to power, RS
went through
a "day to night" transition. There is no comparison between RS
as it was in the
early days when David Lane interviewed Charan Singh and what is going
on now.
All of the available RS literature is from this "past time".
There are no tapes
or videos available from the Gurinder Singh period - the present period
- because
all that has been prohibited. Consequently, anyone who researches
RS by using
available literature is looking at "RS of the past" - a happy time
of love and openness
which died with Charan Singh and no longer exists.
Now I will list the primary secrecy methods currently in use:
For events where Gurinder Singh is present-
1. Pictures prohibited
2. Taping prohibited
3. Taking notes prohibited
4. No electronic devices of any kind (not even a Furbie) or any
hand carried item
because it could possibly conceal something
which is prohibited.
5. You will be searched by guards to insure compliance.
6. Gurinder Singh does not wish there to be any tangible record
of anything he
says or does. No one is allowed to talk
about him to any news organization.
In general-
1. Pictures prohibited at all events: satsangs, bhandaras, etc.
2. Taping prohibited at all events: satsangs, bhandaras, etc.
3. Locations of satsangs are to be kept secret except for "general
satsangs"
which are published in the official newsletter.
(there are many other satsangs,
generally home satsangs, and their locations
used to be published in the
newsletters but Gurinder Singh has now prohibited
this)
Recall of previously released material-
If anyone is found to possess material which was once permitted but
is now prohibited
(such as handwritten notes of statements by Gurinder Singh), the Representatives
are charged with the duty of finding these written records and destroying
them.
