Dobbins Air Force Base, Atlanta, Georgia, 1983-1986



The 128th Tactical Fighter Squadron began its conversion from F-105G Wild Weasel to F-4Ds in January 1983. Based at Dobbins AFB, Georgia. 128th TFS has the distinction of being the ANG unit which operated the Phantom for the shortest period of time. 116th TFW aircrafts deployed to Germany in August 1985 for "Coronet Meteor" operations. The Georgia ANG unit offically completed its convertion to F-15A/B Eagle end of 1986. 128th TFS had become the second ANG squadron to convert to the F-15 Eagle.
