The 108th Tactical Fighter Wing previously parented F-105B Thunderchief equipped 141st Tactical Fighter Squadron from McGuire AFB, New Jersey. Squadron re-equipped with F-4D in the spring 1981. While equipped with F-4Ds, 141st TFS first deployed to Norway in September 1982 (Coronet Rawhide). F-4Ds replaced F-4Es in July 1985.
