| Pakistani Students Association Rutgers University Constitution Article I The name of this association shall be the “Pakistani Students Association” (hereby denoted as PSA). Article II The purpose of this cultural Association is to inform all interested persons of the culture and traditions of Pakistani culture, to further the knowledge of interested persons of the history of Pakistan, and to serve all Rutgers University Students, Faculty and Staff, including International Students, in achieving the above stated goals. Article III Membership shall be open to all Rutgers Universtiy students and must comply with federal laws prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, sex, handicap, age, sexual orientation, or political and religious affiliation. Compliance with these laws means that membership, benefits, and the election of officers will not be made on the basis of these factors. Article IV Section 1. The Executive Board of the Association shall consist of the following: the President, the Vice-President, the Public Relations officer, the Secretary, and the Treasurer. Officers of the Executive Board shall only be Rutgers College Students or Rutgers College Affiliates (i.e. College of Pharmacy, Mason Gross School o fthe Arts, School of Business, and College of Engineering), unless the organization is chartered at more than one undergraduate college, in which case officers may be from any undergraduate college. A. The President will be responsible for organizing and running all organization meetings, to ensure that the constitution is adhered to, to represent PSA on official matters, and to decide what is best for the organization. The President shall also be responsible for all actions of the organization and shall serve as the official representative of the organization. B. The Vice-President shall assist the President in the performance of his/her duties and will act in his/her stead whenever the President is absent. The Vice-President shall coordinate the efforts of the organization’s committees. |
