the lam tutorial
Frank wants us to draw on three pieces of bond using
the 45degree perspective grid we made. On the first
sheet, draw simple shapes like spheres, cones, cubes.
On the second sheet, draw compound objects (i.e. booleans).
In the thrird sheet, draw real life objects which
are made up out of basic shapes.
1. Use rulers and circle templates to draw the understructure
of your shape. Make the blue lines very bold and visible.
2. Go overtop of the lines with a dark (~2B) pencil.
Draw these lines freehand.
3. Shade with bold visible lines going in a uniform
direction. Do not attempt to soften the shading, frank
wants to see the lines.
Look
at these three drawings:
This
is not a good example because the shading is too smooth.

This
is a good one. The smooth shading is mine and the
coarse shading has been added by Frank himself, showing
what he is looking for. I will explain the way to
make a proper shadow in person.

This
is pretty good, but the shading could be coarser
