Remembering Our Dead

Everybody dies.

Some of us live full lives, and death takes us at an old age in our bed, leaving us time to say goodbye to our beloved and our family.
Some of us die in the height of our achievement, and those who survive us can allways remember us with a smile, because we never declined or fell.
But some of us die through the hate of others.
We get stabbed in the back in our own kitchen because of who we are.
We get assaulted in back alleys, because some bigot taught other bigots that we shame their god.
This site is in rememberance of our brothers and sisters, who got killed by hate and bigotry,
and that we may allways remember what we are fighting for.

Well, the categories seem to be quite clear, but they aren't really as clear-cut as all that. Many of the Swiss and International Sites are actually Personal Sites, put on the net and kept up to date by the diligent work of one person. However they didn't get selected for Personal Sites because they clearly deal with the subject of Transsexuality, and are not primarily concerned with one person. The Personal Sites are, as evidenced by diarys and photo-galleries, bio's and lists of favorite music, exactly that, peoples personal little bit of the web. But indeed, many of the Sites linked in Personal Sites have large and exhaustive ressources that might help many TS and would well deserve including in the International Sites. So the sorting is sometimes a bit arbitrary. If you think your or anybody elses site should be linked under another category, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Another word should be added about the Kissing-system. I devised this to help me and others keep some kind of track of the sites i've linked. Before that they were just in an unsorted list, and sometimes i myself sometimes had trouble remembering which site was which, and if i'd liked it.
So far the scoring is exclusively my own, but you can change that by using the Kiss me buttons you find with every link. Some factors that have influenced me are extensivenes of the site, intensity of the experience, design, usefullnes, if i know the person in question, when it was last updated, what i heard from third parties, fun, wether it made me cry..... you get the idea. Also that the template i use to add links (what, you think i create it from scratch for every link?) has a full five kisses, and i'm loathe to take them away once they're there.

Finaly, i hope that i didn't forget anybody, and know that if you think that you didn't get enough kisses for your site i will gladly await any comments or suggestions, even complaints from you, to the e-mail at the bottom of this page. The same applies if you would like to see your site linked here, please send me the url.
