Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji
Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji is a living incarnation of the divine trinity--Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Sustainer, and Shiva the Destroyer. The embodiment of these three is called Lord Dattatreya.
Swamiji is dedicated to elevating individuals by enlivening their true godly status. One of the many ways he instills the love of God is through his original music and devotional singing of the names of God. Devotees are encouraged to sing while he uses his music for healing and transmission of spiritual energy. Some have reported dramatic physical healing from his music, including via his CDs and cassettes. Others feel spiritual stirrings awakening their love of God. His mastery often inspires awe.
Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda's work is to restore society by reestablishing the balance that comes when each individual follows his duty, or "dharma." He makes frequent world tours from his base in Mysore.
Swamiji encourages and blesses all true seekers. Recognizing the need for spiritual freedom, he respects all religions--Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism. He recognizes that some have a propensity for meditation, others are drawn to singing devotional hymns, and still others to service as their primary path to God.
While providing divine love, guidance and protection to his devotees, he also stresses the importance of individual responsibility. "I am not your spiritual insurance," he says. "I am not responsible for your life. You are responsible for your life." Thus he inspires self-effort on the path to full Self-Realization.
Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda is a Master difficult to "define," therefore many resort to describing his activities. Even long-time devotees say that the longer they are associated with him, the more they realize that to truly know him will always be beyond their ken.
Swamiji's protection, power, and love are nonetheless ever palpable to anyone acquainted with him.
