This statue of General James Longstreet is brand new.  It was dedicated in 1998.   For decades Longstreet's behavior at Gettysburg had been questioned.  The addition of this monument tells me that the historians have changed the historical view of this man.   I do wonder what might have happened differently had Lee taken Longstreet's advice and moved the Rebel army around the flank of the Union army after the first day,
