BOOKS

There have been so many books written about the Civil War that it would be easy to do a website on that topic alone.  Since just about all Civil War nuts love to read about it, the bookstores have whole sections devoted to the subject.  I'll try to keep the list manageable, and write fairly short reviews of some favorites.  Each section will have books highly recommended, others that are good and some rejects.    The rejects may surprise you.  There are some famous books that I did not like at all.  Since Rufus hasn't read most of these books, I the humble photographer, am in charge of the book section.  We'll divide it into general Civil War books, books on specific battles, Lincoln, and other biographies, and a section of novels.  There's one other type of Civil War book that's become popular of late.  Those are the ones dealing with the Civil War today.    The opinions are all mine, not even Rufus put his two cents in.:)  Click on the heading to get the lists and reviews.
