Mixed-base Results

Here are some of the results that had me going round and round and...

Questions I1 was intended to help isolate web-based readers and usenet-based readers. In this case, I'm interested in folks that seem to straddle the usenet and web worlds. There seems to be some distinctions between these readers and those that are primarily base in either usenet or web forums. This case is a bit more difficult to sort out from just plain misunderstanding the differences between usenet and web groups and Google groups. I'm adding qualifiers regarding Google groups and web forums in next year's questionnaire, in the hopes that will improve matters. I had to add a condition based on "I don't read newsgroups" responses, and it turns out I21 (useful marketplace groups) nailed some of the obvious spurious returns. Not having any handles left, I left the results with 27 mixed reader returns.

As with the usenet results, these results are down dramatically from 2002's 55, even taking the 30% Geocities/Yahoo software-related losses into account.

These results can also be found at:

http://www.oocities.org/ruigarashi/Surveys/fans/fan0410/results_mixed.html

Past questionnaire results can be found at:

http://www.oocities.org/ruigarashi/Surveys/fans/results.html

For each question, I've tabulated the raw count and the percentage of total returns for each of the possible responses. I've added a "blank" entry to round out the totals. Some questions had multiple responses, so don't expect all tallies to come to 100%.

Enjoy.
