Questions J1 and J2 were intended to help isolate users of Usenet from the rest of the responders, and Questions J3 and J5 picked out those that use rec.arts.anime.*. The main goal is to provide figures that are directly associated with those newsgroups, such as those in Section J (Usenet). I also used Questions J8, J23, and K9 for some fine tuning. The data I took in rec.arts.anime.* two weeks prior to the announcement on web forums was used for comparison to minimize errors in filtering.
At the end, I got about the same as the previous (2004) count with 37, even though the survey got much more with web-based readers.
These results can also be found at:
http://www.oocities.org/ruigarashi/Surveys/fans/fan0611/results_raa.html
Other questionnaire results, highlights, and analyses can be found at:
http://www.oocities.org/ruigarashi/Surveys/fans/results.html
For each question, I've tabulated the raw count and the percentage of total returns for each of the possible responses. I've added a "blank" entry to round out the totals. Some questions had multiple responses, so don't expect all tallies to come to 100%.
Enjoy.
