Ferry receives bomb threat; 283 passengers evacuated
JAKARTA (JP): As many as 283 passengers of a ferry in Central Java's seaport of
Tanjung Mas Tuesday were evacuated after state shipping company PT Pelni received
a bomb threat Monday.
MetroTV television reported the Egon ship was ready to leave Tanjung Mas seaport in
Central Java's provincial capital of Semarang for South Kalimantan's seaport of Kumai
when it received the bomb threat.
Members of anti-bomb squad were sweeping the ship soon after all people were
evacuated from the ship. (**)
