SPIRITUALISTIC CHRISTIANS' ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES OR S.C.A.P...
Political abrogationism advocates that the philosophy of participatory democracy (it includes directly consulting the people on the issues that may affect them) should be made effective and practical by every official leadership of every nation, every province, every town, every city, every district, every municipality, every village, every religious grouping, every community, every social organization and every culture of this world.Political abrogationism also advocates that every government or official leadership of every country, every community, every village, every social organization, and every human culture in our world should protect and secure all human rights and all human freedoms with corresponding responsibilities. Political abrogationism advocates that the U.N. Organization should implement and enforce rules that will protect and secure all human rights and all human freedoms with the corresponding responsibilities in every country, every social organization and every culture in this world. Political abrogationism advocates that every country, every social organization and every culture of this world or of any other world should be democratized. This is because of the fact that political abrogationism philosophically states that democracy is natural and universal.

“ANNE-SENNY ZACKEIUS: A POLITICAL PRISONER OF CONSCIENCE”

BY RUMMEL PINERA

She once vowed that a tyranny
                       Would soon perish in her midst;
So, she howled at a malady
                        That besieged a society.

                        But the fists of brutality
                        Are larger than her;
                        She was wrapped in prison
                        By the fingers of oppression.

Though a woman of peace herself,
She was harassed again and again:
Knocked down, harassed again and again!
Shocked down, harassed again and again!
Rocked down, harassed again and again!
But her spirit replenished her mind
With a thought of a tyranny about to fade.

She had wished the prison-walls could talk,
                        So they could argue her fate;
She had wished such walls can also pray,
                        To strengthen up her faith.

                        She made art-paintings in prison:
                        She painted through her eyes
                        By moving them fast,
                        And sketched pictures
                        By invoking the past.

                       Alone and imprisoned,
She glorified painting inside the prison:
Paint-brushed the dungeon’s dirt as hope,
                       She colored her isolation
                       With a spiritual solidarity
With the good and wise among humanity.

     'SOME COMMENTARIES'

THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME ARTICLES WRITTEN BY SOME MEMBERS OF THE EDITORIAL STAFF OF LAMPARA JOURNAL:

"SPIRITUAL PROGRESS AND   GLOBAL DEMOCRATIZATION" by RUMMEL PINERA

Spiritual progress is a choice that an individual human being has to make. Certainly, attaining spiritual progress would mean attaining spiritualwisdom. Attaining spiritual wisdom  means attaining eternal life. Such should be the goal of an individual human being. It is important that an individual human being should have the freedom to have faith in our Lord God. It is important that an individual human being has a dignified image of his/her own self. Such things (the freedom to have a religion and the dignified image of one's own self) are available only in a free and democratic society. That is why every country of this world has to have democracy. Democracy nourishes the freedom of religion and the dignified image of an individual human being. That is why spiritual progress should also be associated with global democratization. Spiritual progress works hand in hand with responsible freedom. Responsible freedom works hand in hand with democracy.

"SOME TIDBITS ABOUT DEMOCRACY"  by Lolita Viodos

A democratic society may sometimes be an impoverished society. But such a poor nation may have a "spiritual happiness" that is far superior than any rich country with an intact despotic regime. This is because democracy provides an athmosphere of enlightenment and expression of responsible freedoms to an individual citizen. An impoverished society with a working democracy will not remain underdeveloped for a long time. With spiritual happiness, such a society will improve its own economy through prayers and miracles. Such a society would be open enough to new innovations, inventions, and ideas that can hasten its own economic progress.

"THE FORWARD MARCH OF GLOBAL DEMOCRATIZATION" by Rev. LITO BADILLO

Today's world is also advancing towards spiritual progress. Such progress is steady but sure. Chairman RUMMEL PINERA has discussed that spiritual progress should be kept hand in hand with global democratization. Therefore, it is necessary that progressive religious groups should fully support real and global democracy. The expansion of real democracy to all of the nations in this world should be fully-supported by all progressive religious groups throughout this world. The forward march of global democratization is a valuable cause to every progressive religious group in our world.

      EDITORIAL COLUMN

           ON SUDAN

      BY RUMMEL PINERA

Should the international community work out a comprehensive plan for the democratization of Sudan? My answer is yes. Sudan, together with Egypt, had long been considered as leading cultural centers in this whole world. The democratization of Sudan will be a shining example to all countries of Africa. It would also indicate the United Nations' dedication towards global democratization. The U.N. should lead the way towards the democratization of Sudan. But such democratization should not be imposed upon the Sudanese people. Let the Sudanese people gladly receive the natural blessings of democracy! The U.N. Administration should only act as a "willing global agency" that will support the Sudanese people's determination to accept democracy. The U.N. should also look at its own self, make "democratic reforms" within its own backyard, to determine if the U.N. Administration also adheres to democratic principles. It is important that the whole U.N. Organization becomes a "democratized organization". If the U.N. would be given much larger responsibilities in the near future, I can say that it may be the closest thing to a "global government" that humans should have. The U.N. is the sole international organization that interpretes international laws. Because the U.N. Organization interpretes international laws, the U.N. is a political body. The U.N. has recognized the validity of the "International Declaration of Human Rights". Hence, the U.N. has already accepted the validity of democracy as a socio-political system. Hence, the U.N. Organization has to adhere to all of the principles of democracy. Therefore, the whole U.N. Organization has to be "democratized". Therefore, all the procedures in the U.N. should also be democratized. The democratization of Sudan should coincide with the democratization of the whole U.N. Organization.

  ON GLOBAL DEMOCRATIZATION
        AND U.N. MEMBERSHIP

      BY RUMMEL PINERA

I am hoping that the membership of the U.N. should only be open to "democratic and democratized countries". That can happen in some future time. There are some member-states of the U.N. right now which can be categorized as despotic states (i.e. China, Saudi Arabia, Libya). What to do? The United Nations' officialdom should convince those despotic member-states of the U.N. to democratize or give way to democracy. The wise citizens of the world can also help in this campaign by writing polite letters, both by snail mail and e-mail, which are requesting dictators and despotic regimes to step down from political power and give way to democracy. Such letter-writing campaign can also be applied to non-U.N.- member states which still have tyrannical regimes. The leading trading companies can also help in the campaign to democratize this whole world by cutting investments or by pulling out capital from countries which have dictatorships. The leading economic powers (the wealthy nations) which are stable democracies should always pressure and convince the remaining dictatorial regimes to abdicate from political power and give way to democracy. All of such mentioned campaigns should be done through peaceful, legal and constitutional means. All of such actions should conform to all known international laws. All of those mentioned campaigns should be applied to all of the countries (both U.N.-member countries and non-U.N.-member countries) of this world.

  ON SYRIA'S WITHDRAWAL
           FROM LEBANON

     BY RUMMEL PINERA

The withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon would be a clear sign that real democracy will soon emmerge in Lebanon. The country of Lebanon has long been under Syrian 'colonial rule'. Such colonial rule made democracy in Lebanon a 'command system' type of operation. Hence, Lebanese democracy under Syria is dictated upon by the Baathist rulers from Damascus. True and dignified sovereignty is one of the requirements of a healthy and successful democracy. The stand of the U.N. to expell all Syrian troops out of Lebanon by May should be heavily backed-up by the powerful democracies of our world. Lebanon is clearly for the Lebanese people!

ON THE DEMOCRATIZATION OF  THE WHOLE MIDDLE EAST REGION

            by RUMMEL PINERA

The U.S. Government should certainly help in democratizing the whole Middle East region. But such task should be primarily done by the peoples of the Middle East themselves. The U.S. Government should cooperate with all the wealthy democratic countries of this world in supporting the various peoples of the Middle East in gaining democratization for their region as a whole. Such task of democratizing the Middle East should be done through peaceful and legal means. This world's wealthy and powerful democracies' support of such democratization should be in accordance with all international laws. Hence, the U.N. Organization should be at the forefront of such support-system which would democratize the whole Middle East region. That is because of the fact that the U.N. Organization is the only global agency which interprets international laws. But the U.N. Organization should make it sure that all the governments in the Middle East are not involved in backing-up global terrorism. The U.N. Organization should make the whole Middle East region truly stable in adhering to international laws. The Middle East region is a flourishing cultural center for the 5 great religions of this world. Middle East is the cultural center for Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Zoroastrianism, and Bahaism. Hence, the democratization of the whole Middle East region through peaceful and legal means is truly a noble cause.

ON DEMOCRATIZING THE WHOLE
      C.I.S. REGION

           by RUMMEL PINERA

The whole C.I.S. region (the former Soviet Union) should also be democratized. This is because of the fact that such region has cultural ties with both Middle East and Europe. Many C.I.S. (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries are Islamic and possess the same cultural magnitude that the Middle East region has in influencing the Muslim countries of this world. The C.I.S. region also has some European countries ruled by government officials who still believe that the Soviet Union has to be revived. Hence, the democratization of the whole C.I.S. region would really help in truly stabilizing both Middle East and Europe. Again, such democratization for the whole C.I.S. region should be done through peaceful and legal means. Pres. Putin of Russia, U.N. Sec.-Gen. Koffi Annan, and Pres. George W. Bush, together with all of the official leaders of the wealthy and powerful democracies of this world, should support the peoples of the C.I.S. in democratizing their region as a whole through peaceful and legal means. Such international community's support for the democratization of the whole C.I.S. region should be in accordance with all international laws. Such is also a noble cause. And that is a great advocacy.

   ON ENVIRONMENTALISM

         by RUMMEL PINERA

In the present year of 2005 (C.E.) I've decided to reside in a mountainous but urbanized village somewhere in Metro Manila, Philippines. I'm happy that I'm residing right now in such a mountainous but, still, urbanized area. My home-village right now is somehow free (though not totally) from over-pollution. It's nice to be in a place where you can have human dignity residing harmoniously with nature. Such feeling should be felt throughout this world. Political abrogationism supports environmentalism because it advocates that every human being should be in harmony with nature and universe. There should be an effective  global system that would check and stop environmental degradations due to pollutions all over this world. Modern science and technology should invent and discover new methods of manufacturing and industrial production that will not produce any pollution. The U.N. Organization and all the industrial firms of this world should work out plans to achieve the mentioned ideals of this article.

  ON UNITED NATIONS' ROLE AS
    PROMOTER OF DEMOCRACY

      BY RUMMEL PINERA

I had supported the peaceful and legal calls of the international community of nations in urging the then Taliban regime of Afghanistan and Saddam Hussein's regime of Iraq to resign from political domination of their respective countries and, also, to give way to democracy. I had also supported the peaceful and legal struggles in appealing for the resignations of such authoritarian leaders like Jean-Bertrand Aristide of Haiti, Charles Taylor of Liberia, Edward Shevardnadze of Georgia, Leonid Kuchma of Ukraine, and Askar Akayev of Khirghiztan from being chief executives of their states. Such struggles were all successful. But the countries of those mentioned leaders who had resigned from their presidential thrones are still lacking United Nations' support for achieving real democracy. The U.N. must really create policies that will truly support and enhance real democratization to countries which had recently embraced democracy or, in some cases, returned back to democratic rule. The U.N. should act now to achieve the status of a "real promoter of democracy in our world". Such should be a worthy title for the United Nations.
