HELP FOR THOSE
"MORNING AFTER"
ACHES AND PAINS
The issue we are addressing is the muscle stiffness, pain and soreness some runners feel the morning after strenuous exercise.
For a simple solution to the problem....don't overexert yourself, either on your regular runs or your workouts.
However, since every runner will sooner or later experience these post-workout aches and pains, try these measures:
Get a massage. I wouldn't get one every time as it could get expensive.
Try stretching and give yourself enough time to "cool down" after your workout.
If the stiffness, soreness and pain  persist, try a light workout. Run a couple of miles to get the cobwebs out and the blood flowing.
When aches and pains set in,try taking a warm bath with some epsom salts.
Try icing down the area with the greatest hurt.
NOTE: If the symptoms of pain, stiffness and soreness continue for more than a week, get medical attention as your condition might be more than simple overexertion.
