Doing Time in Kingston
Runker Room Back East

KINGSTON, Ontario - The Runker Room, home page of Tadaaki Hiruki, has resurfaced in the Limestone City, Kingston, ON, Canada.

After considering a range of employment options over the past year, the search for work that is related or friendly to the emerging field of medical informatics has led back east.

Paralleling the geographic move to a former place of residence, this latest job is a return to the full-time practice of pathology, but in a position that will allow activity in medical informatics research and development. It is hoped that this mix will provide the best opportunity to achieve professional and personal goals, while remaining true to certain lifestyle principles.

Kingston is still the small town it was ten years ago (population 112,785), with two major employers: federal prisons (count 'em -- six) and Queen's University. To learn about this place and the things found to have changed in the past decade, see the Runker's KDs.

The overall mission of this contribution to the World Wide Web is unchanged and remains similar to that of other home pages: to entertain, educate, and provide a link between people of similar interests.

As always, comments, suggestions and encouragement are appreciated, either by guestbook entry or E-mail.

Thank you for spending a bit of your busy day in the Runker Room!
