| On a cold rainy day two runners, Zach Emerson and Josh Costa, traveled to Manchester for the Cougar Classic held at Derryfield High School. The course was flooded and the many huge sandy (now muddy) hills made it extremly difficult, but yet fun. "It was by far the most fun I've ever had in an XC race ." Zach said shortly after winning and setting a new course record in the process. Zach's friendly rival Nick Watts of Pittsfield was there and made it a close race and a fun one for the spectators to watch. Zach got the best of him today on the sloppy hills. Josh Costa ran excellent in 3rd and also had tons of fun. Josh ran very fast today! "The hills were really muddy and steep, I almost had to use my hands to get up them. It was awesome!" said Josh. |
