Victorian Web entry. (See under General Sites for more information
about the Victorian Web).
Faulkner, William (1897-1962)
- Ole Miss's site:
William Faulkner on the Web
There is nothing to say about this
site except that it is absolutely beautiful. It contains character
listings, commentaries on his works, biography, the town of oxford, lists
of the movies and plays based on his work, and just about everything else
one could possibly desire. It even includes a way to search the web for
more information (if you have Javascript).
Frost, Robert (1874-1963)
- Frost in
Cyberspace
This site contains well-organized categories of
information, including essays on Frost's popularity and Frost's own
thoughts on poetry. A chronology and bibliography are included.
Gaskell, Elizabeth (1810-1865)
- The
Victorian Web entry. (See under General Sites for more information
about the Victorian Web).
Ginsberg, Allen (1926-1997)
- Allen Ginsberg: Shadow Changes Into
Bone
This site contains poems, photos, interviews, humor, reviews,
news, and articles. In short, it has lots of good stuff. Check it out.
- Allen Ginsberg:
Ashes and Blues
This page has a biography, links, and extensive
poetry. There isn't much criticism, though. Under the links section
there is a bibliography of written works by and about the poet.
Golding, William (1911-1993)
- Lord
of
the Flies site
This site is so nicely done that I'm breaking my
own "no one-book site" rule. It has character sketches, a plot summary, a
brief biography of the author, and a few critical comments. It has a nice
background, too. It is well-designed and useful, although not as
comprehensive a cover of the author as I generally put on this page.
