The Brazen Head: A James Joyce Public House
This is a nice site.
Contains list of the works with reviews of the major ones. There are
pictures, essays, reviews of critical works, and a list of "Joyce-inspired
music." Also included are mailing lists, a biography, and annotated links
to other sites. This page allows you to order books from amazon.com, and
each book reviewed has a price listing attached.

James Joyce Resource Center
A very nice collection of information
about criticism. The site is divided into several different types of
criticism and contains a nice bibliography of printed works for each
division. There is also a comprehensive bibliography of works by and on
Joyce, as well as a timeline. A very scholarly site, which could save a
student a lot of time searching through Infotrac.
- Work in Progress
This
site contains a timeline with some links, audio files, mailing lists and
discussion groups, and maps of Dublin with information about locations in
Joyce's work. There is also a linked list of critical articles and
another of e-texts, which thankfully notes those sites with restricted access. This is a very good site with a lot of useful information; I highly recommend it.

London, Jack (1876-1916)
- The Jack London
Collection
This site contains a short biography, audio and video
clips, original documents (letters and what-not), and pictures. More
important, it contains a huge number of e-texts and bibliographies. The
bibliographies include works on London's life and his work . Although
these are largely lists of printed works, there are also several critical
essays on the page. It contains links to related sites, although they are
pretty loosely related.

Mansfield, Short Story Writer
This is about the only thing out
there. It has a chronology, some pictures, and a good number of e-texts.
The short section about her life also contains a bibliography of printed
works about the same subject.

The Life and Works of Herman Melville
This is a fairly
comprehensive site. The biographical information includes a bibliography
of printed works, some thoughts and memories from those who knew him, his
own thoughts on his life and work, and his obituary notices. The page
contains links to e -texts for most of his works. It also contains links
to critical works, including some criticism from Melville's period. The
bibliography of criticism is organized by categories and works. These are
printed critical articles and books. Online criticism
and research is in another category. There are links to other resources, which are well-organized by topic (geography, art, etc.). All in all, an excellent site for anyone researching Melville. If you can't find it here, it probably can't be found.
Millay, Edna St. Vincent (1892-1950)

- The Milton-L

This is a very good site to start with. It is intended
to be a guide to online Milton resources, and it succeeds very well.
There are links to e-texts, biographies, and the archives of the mailing
list's discussions for the past five years. Check out t he well-organized
list of links to scholarship and book reviews.
